Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey! My name is Tawny and I can be a little shy at first. I am a very smart kitty and know how to ask for food or treats. Although I might be a little reserved at first, once I trust you I really open up! I get along well with other cats and kittens, and love snuggling in a kitty cuddle puddle. My favorite place to nap is in a window, or anywhere that the sun is coming in. I like to be petted, but prefer not to be picked up: I will get in the perfect spot to cuddle with you on my own! I like to watch movies with you and sometimes I will chirp and talk at the birds or animals on the screen. If you would like to meet Tawny please fill out an application on our website at www.adopthope.org.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Gaze upon this beautiful longhaired Tuxedo female - Patches - and we guarantee you will fall in love with her if you love longhairs - or Tuxedo cats!  She and her 7 kittens ...  Autumn, Opal, Bella, Ginny,    JJ, Dexter, and Burton ...  are all ready and eager to start their lives with their new families... how about yours?   This beautiful mama gave birth to some gorgeous kittens, that's for sure!  And what a wonderfully sweet and attentive mama she has been!  It's time to find her a family of her very own now!   This precious girl was rescued by the pastor of a church when one of the women in the congregation called him on 9/15/19, frantically upset because a stray cat was giving birth to kittens on her front porch!  The Pastor went over and surprisingly enough, this mama kitty, who was giving birth to a third kitten, crawled into the carrier he had!  He quickly put the other two newborns into the carrier and rushed home to call a member of the church he knew was a cat rescuer/foster mom!  By the end of the evening, this beautiful longhaired Tuxedo mama had delivered 8 babies, and they were surrendered to Last Hope Animal Rescue!   Eight kittens was a lot for this underweight stray mama to feed, and a few days later Patches needed to be taken to the vet as she wasn't feeling well - she was dehydrated and wasn't eating much.  She was given fluids and an antibiotic injection, as well as some recovery food to help increase calories for her - and she was tested for FeLV/FIV to make sure she didn't have either of those diseases.  Thankfully she tested negative for both!  The foster family started supplementing the kittens by bottle feeding them, but sadly one of the little male kittens didn't make it :(  The other 7 thrived though, and were all altered on the same day as their mama... 12/23/19! Patches & her kittens have lived with a 14-yr old and 11-yr old in the foster home and have been cuddled and snuggled ALOT!  Patches is very affectionate and loves attention - she had to have been someone's pet to be this socialized and friendly.  We think she'll get along with just about any family; dogs are unknown.  She is ready for her babies to leave to coop so she can find her furrever home, too!   When Patches was spayed, they discovered she had two hernias, so those were repaired during her spay surgery.  She was given her FVRCP and rabies vaccination, was treated with Revolution for parasites, and she was microchipped!  LHAR registers the chip for you and it has a free lifetime registration as well!  As mentioned earlier, she was tested for FeLV/FIV at our vet office when she sick, and was negative for both.  When she was rescued, we thought she was probably a young kitty, but when we picked her up after her surgery, we were shocked to discover she may be around 6 years old, from the apparent 'age' of her teeth!  WOW! what a surprise!  Who knows how many litters of kittens this sweet kitty has given birth to - but this litter was her LAST!   Patches' adoption fee is only $85   - which is a BARGAIN for all the vetting she had done!  BUT...  Adopt a pair of any kitties, and we will give you a  $25 discount!   She and her kittens are being fostered in Cedar Falls, IA and may make appearances at adoption events in the Waterloo Petsmart Store, 1506 Flammang Dr., or perhaps may be residing in the Adoption Center in the store when there is an opening.  We do not do onsite adoptions so please visit our Last Hope Animal Rescue website at  www.adopthope.org  and fill out our online application; our adoption process does include a home visit.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Do you like to play games?  Well then... Take a PEEK at these adorable kittens named after some of the POPULAR interactive games!        Yahtzee,   Uno, Jenga, Domino and Cherry-O! These little darlings were trapped in a feral colony in Cedar Falls, along with their feral mama in August 2019; they were guess-timated to be about 6 weeks old at that time.  The little males were easily socialized, but the 3 little females took just a bit longer to adjust to human touch!  But in the time their foster mom has had them, they are all coming along wonderfully - and are becoming the sweet, adorable kittens we knew they would turn out to be! Their mama was TNR'd (trap-neutered-released) and taken back to her colony as outside is her home and she has known no other life for the past 3 years.  She has a colony caretaker who provides food and water daily, as well as shelter for the kitties who come around for a handout. They are now sleeping in bed with their foster mom, playing like crazy in the bedroom and getting into all kinds of typical kitten mischief!  Cherry-O is still a tad bit reserved, but the other 4 are purring up a storm, snuggling and cuddling with their foster mom, and are finding all kinds of new things to discover in this fascinating indoor world!  Typical kitten shennanigans are the daily norm in this GAME room! They are all completely vetted on Halloween - 10/31/19!  They were spayed/neutered, have had 3 FVRCP vaccinations and their rabies vaccination, have been dewormed and treated for parasites with Revolution, tested negative for Feline Leukemia, and are microchipped, too!  LHAR will register the microchip at no additional charge, and this microchip has a free lifetime registration as well! Their adoption fee is only $100 each... quite a bargain for all the vetting they have had done!  Kittens are always best adopted in pairs if you have room in your heart, your home and your budget ~ SO ~ if you want to adopt a pair of kittens at the same time to give them a lifelong playmate and snuggle buddy, we offer a $25.00 discount when adopting a pair!   "Until there are none, please adopt one; So they aren't blue, why not adopt two?"  author unknown They are fostered in Cedar Falls, IA and may make appearances at adoption events in the Waterloo Petsmart Store - 1506 Flammang Dr. - or may find them residing in the Petsmart Adoption Center, too!  You can apply for them online through the Last Hope Animal Rescue website ~ www.adopthope.org.   Please note we do not do on-site adoptions; you must be pre-approved to adopt and our adoption process includes a home visit.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
