Story
My name is Mr. Mittens! I was rescued a while ago but I had some health issues due to being dumped outside. I'm ready to find myself another home - this time with someone who will love me "forever". I know I'm not exactly a kitten anymore but perhaps someone is looking for a sweet kitty to be a great companion. My foster mom says I am a very handsome boy and deserves a second chance! I only eat canned wet food because of a sensitive stomach. It may take me a little while to warm up to you but it is well worth it! My foster mom is Jessica Silver Lake shows at PetSmart on Sat from Noon – 4:00 p.m.; 1116 S Rochester Rd, Rochester Hills. Our application is available on our Petfinder page! www.silverlake.petfinder.com You can email the application to: slarl@yahoo.com. If interested in finding out more about me, you can send a message to that address too!

The Animal Rescue Project is committed to the best possible veterinary care for the pets it rescues and it is looking for adopters who will be similarly committed. All cats and kittens are given a general check-up when they enter our program. They receive medical to remove any intestinal parasites (worms), fleas, and mites they may have. All cats and kittens are feline leukemia tested, and cats at least a year old are also tested for feline immuno virus. Each cat or kitten receives the FVRCP vaccine; if a kittens stay with us is long enough, two or three boosters will be given after the initial vaccination. Most cats and older kittens are spayed or neutered before adoption. In the case of kittens not old enough to be safely sterilized, a $50 deposit is required at the time of adoption and is refunded to the adopter with proof of sterilization. The Animal Rescue Project requires every adopter to establish an active relationship with a veterinarian no later than 10 days after adoption. Adopters will receive a plan for routine veterinary care at the time of adoption and are expected to work with their vet to complete the plan.
