Ive raised her since she was a kitten, her name is Nini & we moved here from Hawaii last year, she'll be 6 years old in November. Im going through a bad breakup & im moving back home and i cant afford to take her back with me 😭😭💔 Hawaii has ridiculous & costly requirments for traveling with pets 😤 yes shes a senior cat, shes very smart if you need to put her litter box outside she'll learn quick & will go to the door anytime she needs to go. Back in Hawaii I always useto let her roam safely outside a little & she would always know her way home. She likes to sit by the door step & look outside too. Its only been me & her all these years this is the hardest thing ive ever done ive never had to find a home for her 😭😭 but anyways i really think she would be better being a single pet maybe to an elderly or single person who can be with her all day which is why taking her to a shelter isnt even an option. We adopted Mila around 5 years ago when she was just a kitten in Hawaii. We have moved twice since then and she handled the moves well and adjusted easily to new environments. She gets along well with our other cat, she is playful at times but mostly keeps to herself and spends most of the day napping in a closet or under a bed. She is litter box trained and we have a cat door so she is used to going in and out when she wants. Mila is sweet and enjoys being petted and brushed, but does not like being picked up or held. We are sadly looking to re-home her because she has scratched our 2 year old daughter a few times when she has tried to pet or pick her up and we are afraid Mila will seriously hurt her (or our infant son) one day. Mila will often let the kids pet her but when she's had enough she reacts by scratching instead of leaving the room. We are hoping to find her a loving family that does not have small children so this is not an issue for them.
