Story
Animal Profile:  Taichi is an estimated 3-year-old, 38 lb "Pharaoh Hound mix" (according to the shelter, but we just call him a Hawaiian muttley) who was picked up as a stray on the highways of Kauai. He arrived at our rescue on 8/6/19 and has been looking for the right family for some time.  Seattle Foster Update: Taichi has done well with all other dogs in his foster homes and has learned great leash manners. He is a quiet dog, not a big barker, and good in the crate (so long as it's properly secured, otherwise he can get out!) Taichi is house trained and knows basic obedience. He enjoys snuggles and playtime with his person. Taichi can be cautious meeting new people and will need a confident owner who can provide structure and leadership. Taichi would do well with another dog in the home (although it's not a requirement) but does need an adult-only household. He is fine with cats! Good boy, Taichi. Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $500, which includes spay/neuter, current rabies/DAPPV/bordetella vaccinations, microchip, health certificate, and heartworm test. All adoption fees are donations to a Washington non-profit corporation and all donations go to benefit the animals in our rescue.  Apply online at www.DogGoneSeattle.org Animal History: This dog was transferred from an overcrowded shelter in Hawaii and will be available for adoption in Seattle once evaluated.

Meet the most affectionate and super friendly greyhound mix Saida! 3.5-year-old Saida was rescued by Greyhound Pets Inc in Woodinville and transporting from a world away in Dubai. Slightly shy after her major change of scenery, Saida is still so happy and hopeful for her new life while living at the GPI shelter. She does warm up quickly and comes around for love and treats too! Saida is super supers-sweet, smart and becoming more social. She is working on her leash skills and basic commands and loves outdoor activity. Saida is looking for a fun family who enjoys her higher energy level and can’t wait to start training with her. Saida can jump a six foot so she will need an eight-foot fenced yard or a condo/apartment or townhome. Saida would be great for the urban life. Saida is on the smaller side at around 30-34lbs and is quiet and calm in the house. Saida is not good with cats or small dogs but gets along well with all the greyhounds at GPI. She is vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped. Healthy and fun Saida is house trained and crate trained and has lived in a foster home briefly. Saida is sisters to another recent GBI rescue, Safa. Meet lovely and lovable Lulu! Lulu is a gorgeous 55lbs Greyhound mixed with maybe golden retriever? Beautiful Lulu was rescued from an Ohio breeder and we are so happy Greyhound Pets, Inc got her out! Lulu is fun, active and so happy. She is active and a bit goofy and will always make you smile! Lulu will make a great exercise partner and she’d love to go everywhere with you! Easy going Lulu might be a candidate for agility as Miss Lulu can jump really high! So Lulu needs a 6’ fence and a yard to play in. Lulu gets along great with other Greyhounds in our care and she enjoys play groups and hanging out with others. We’ve not introduced her to other breeds- but suspect she will enjoy other dogs. She isn’t a candidate for an apartment and no cats for this streamlined and social 2-year-old. Lulu is spayed, vaccinated and micro-chipped. Lulu hasn’t been around kids in GPI’s care- but her easy-going greyhound personality leans towards being good with kids. Lulu is available to meet your fun and active family right away at Greyhound Pets in Woodinvile. This affectionate and awesome girl will bond with you quickly and will make an awesome companion. Meet adorable and affectionate sweetheart- Dana! Greyhound Pets in Woodinville rescued this amazing 6-year-old all the way from Jerusalem where she was found wandering the streets. Dana was at the SPCA there for over a year and no-one came to adopt this beauty- so GPI had to say yes to helping this lovely girl find her forever home in western Washington where all the best adopters are! Dana is upbeat, friendly, and affectionate (she loves to give kisses). She does well with other dogs and loves people and to be around her people. No kitties for this hound baby though! Dana is currently living in a foster home and doing very well. Her foster parents say she is a bit shy with new people but warms up very quickly. “She is such a little love-bug! Anyone would be blessed to have Dana in their home”. Dana’s foster parents are working on perfecting her manners but she is so smart and learns quickly! Dana is a true pleaser. They say she is a goof ball who loves to play and will make a great exercise partner. She is getting good on the lease and rides well in the car. Dana weighs 55lbs and has the most beautiful face.
