Story
Cinder came to us from the late 2018 Carr Fire in Shasta County. Between her severely burned paws and disorientation at being relocated it was unclear how social she might be. When she had healed, her previous home area had been destroyed in the fire and there were not many good options. In foster care she showed she is ready to for her new home. She is looking for a special home for the next phase of her life.  When Cinder trusts her person she will talk to them and gaze at them to give slow blinks. She makes biscuits in the air and rubs her paws on her face while her person pets her. Cinder isn't brave enough to climb into a lap yet but enjoys having her person near. Her love of playing knows no bounds. She carries her toys in her mouth then wrestles them to the ground, often removing the stuffing. With a slow intro Cinder enjoys cats and will chirp at them and rub against them. She is still wary of sudden movements and loud noises, so is not suitable for households with children or high activity levels. She has not been exposed to dogs. She needs a very patient, cat savvy household that can see her potential and is excited about watching her blossom into a full cat! Cinder is FIV+. FIV+ cats live normal life spans when in human care. We estimate she was born in 2015.
