Story
Courtesy post- if interested in this wonderful senior, contact us and we will put you in touch with her foster.  "Hi, my name is Penny and I think I’m about 8-9 years old. I am a petite girl but I have a big appetite especially for soft canned food and treats. I love to be petted and brushed and will purr loudly for you doing that. I also like to lay near and pressed up against you as I love the company. I will let you hold me but I need more practice because I’m not used to it quite yet.  I get along with other cats as long as they give me my space because I’m a senior and just want peace, quiet and someone to love and love me. I still don’t understand toys so maybe you can work on that with me. I love my scratching pad and lay on it often in between stretching my paws. I also like to look out the window from the cat tower and watch people go by. If you have room in your heart and home for me I’d love to show you how affectionate I can be." Penny was found all alone in a hotel parking lot, in bad shape.  She's doing great now!  She is a senior cat and has IRIS stage 2 kidney disease (clinical signs mild or absent), and she's FIV positive.  Cats with both conditions can live a long time with great quality of life, and we are happy to talk to you more about either.

Story
BONDED PAIR: Meet our bonded sisters Bella and Muffin. These girls are 1 year and 4 months old. They were adopted when they were little kittens, but the adoptive family had circumstances that made them return these loving girls. They are both very affectionate with each other and their humans. The foster mom finds these girls snuggled together all the time, and they are always willing to talk to foster mom and get pets and scratches. They should have some daily exercise via play and should not be free fed, since Bella was considerably overweight at her return to us. These girls were returned with a cat tree, so that will go with them to their new home. They are up to date on their vaccines and are due their next round of shots in October 2020. They are available for adoption now

Story
Libby and her five kittens (Smokey, Juni, Rusty, Sunshine, and RinkyDink) were rescued from live on the streets. Libby must be a very young and awesome mother, since she only weighed 4.5 lbs when she brought her five-week old kittens to a feeding station. She deserves an award for managing to defend five kittens in the harsh way of living for outdoor cats. Libby is a Calico-Tabby cat and has the most beautiful patterning. She can be a little moody, which is something commonly associated with calico cats (I think female cats in general). She has lived indoors for 8 weeks now, and has never bitten or scratched anyone, which I find remarkable, considering she grew up in a feral colony. She purrs quickly and loudly when she gets petted, even if she hissed when you walk by her (that is the moody part I referred to). Libby is very little, about 5.5 lbs now and a very petite frame, about the size of a six month old kitten. I don't know if she will grow any more or remain a ‘mini-kitty'. She has really learned to play lately, which she didn't do at first. She naturally took to the litter box and taught her kittens to use it as well.
