Story
Sophie is a sweet little cat. She is cross-eyed, very tiny compared to most fully-grown cats, and she is a senior currently at 14-years young. She is a very reserved cat who loves being sweet and calm for the majority of the day, but don’t worry - she is also very much a cat, which means she has that occasional “crazy time” where she runs around and gets her exercise. She is very hygienic and grooms a lot. However, her story is not the happiest. When I adopted her, I was told she was a surrender at the doorstep, meaning her previous guardian cared so little for her that they left her in a cat box outside the shelter door before they had even opened. When I found her, she was 7-years old, hiding in a paper bag within her little cat cage at the shelter, and I knew I wanted to help her. Unfortunately, Sophie is a special needs cat who experienced much trauma before I had met her. She has regular cat nightmares (“catmares”), and needs constant play and attention to help her.
