**In search of a special person(s) to adopt these 2 beautifully sweet, but shy and misunderstood cats! ** We'd love to get them out of the bedroom they are living in and experience the freedom to run around in a home they can call their own! Ruby (orange tabby) and her 1 month old baby (Lilly) were rescued about a year ago where they were abandoned outside of a pet store. Now they are currently 2 (Ruby) and Lilly (1) and Lilly has just about outgrown her momma! Over the year they've had a few potential adopters come to see them, but they get so scared around new people they'd hide, and hiss and growl. But they are really all bark and no bite as we've said they are such sweet cats at heart. They just get so scared and that's their only defense. Rightfully so given their rough start in life. We are hoping to find the right person with a patient attitude and caring heart with possibly a quieter household that would be willing to give these 2 girls a try. We promise it's such a rewarding experience when you earn the trust of cats and can help them to come out if their shy little shells. They are a bonded pair so they'd have to be adopted together. All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, up to date on shots, combo tested negative for FIV/Leukemia and microchipped. She doesn't like people BUT she is great with other cats/kittens and dogs. She is very loving and affectionate to the other cats in the foster home. The kitten in one of the pictures is Henry. He is just another kitten in the foster home that Chardonnay took under her wing and reassures him that he is in a safe place. Perfect litter box manners and never tries to get outside! She loves being an indoor kitty. We are looking for a great home that wants a companion for their other kitty. Ferris is a total sweetheart. He loves people (and attention!) and will greet you at the door the minute you come home. His favorite thing is a lap to sit in, and if he’s able, he’ll cuddle for hours! If he’s especially sleepy in the morning, he’ll even ask to be picked up and held on your shoulder for a few minutes. He’s friendly, curious, and talkative, and he loves chasing his wand toy across the room before laying down for a long nap. If your lap isn’t available, he’ll settle for leaning against his cardboard scratch pad or sprawling out on a bed or sofa. He warms up to people quickly - especially if there’s fishy treats involved - but loves spending time alone with his person, too. Ferris is approx. 4 years old.
