Story
Meet Misty!!Misty can be timid with people but has made a lot of progress this year. She's gone from hiding under the bed all the time to hanging out on the window sill looking outside or sitting in a chair watching her fosterer over the edge of the table like a little cat dinner guest. She's letting people get closer and closer and is learning to accept and even sometimes seems to enjoy being petted. She also loves following her foster dad around while he does chores, chatting away with meows! She's really cute, her fur is super dense and soft, and if you can be patient with her maybe you can draw her out more! In fact, Misty will now eat her dinner out of anyone's hand when it's dinnertime, even a stranger! In fact, while she's not about to get in a stranger's lap, she'll perch on a chair or wander the apartment while guests are over, and quiet, patient guests have a pretty good shot at petting her :)Last winter she was diagnosed with feline leukemia and heart disease and got all her teeth removed. She doesn't currently need any day to day health care though, the heart disease hasn't progressed, and she eats both wet and dry food happily (though a bit messily :)). Mostly her toothlessness just makes her extra cute because her tongue sticks out sometimes. Her litter box manners are perfect and she doesn't scratch much besides her scratching post and pad.Misty would prefer to be the only cat in the home and has not been tested with dogs.-------------------To learn more about Misty and how to adopt, please leave your number and the best time to reach you at 416-410-3835 or at adoption@annexcatrescue.ca

Story
Looking for your cat's new best friend? Look no further!Osmo may be nervous around humans at first, but he absolutely adores other cats. Within a few minutes of meeting his new feline friend, he will likely walk up to them, roll over and show off his tummy. He will play with them, bathe them and cuddle them.He has lived most of his life on the streets, so it takes him time to trust humans, but he has quickly acclimated to the comfortable life of an indoor cat. He enjoys finding a small dark nook to hide away in when he's feeling scared, but once he gains some confidence he will enjoy the comforts of snoozing on a tall cat tree or bathing in a sunbeam. He's also very good about using the litter box. He may be 3 years old, but now that he's safe indoors, he's living out his kitten years by playing with everything he can get his paws on. Anything from an earplug to a sponge can be made into the next greatest cat toy in Osmo's opinion!Osmo will require a home with at least one other cat and a very patient owner. He is learning how to trust humans still. He may swat when he feels scared or confused. During his time in his foster home, he has come to enjoy being pet and getting head rubs. It may take him a while, but he will certainly be a sweet snuggle bug in time. Osmo needs a patient owner who is willing to put in the time to gain his trust. With time he's sure to love his human as much as he loves other cats.-------------------Osmo is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.-------------------To learn more about Osmo and how to adopt, please leave your number and the best time to reach you at 416-410-3835 or at adoption@annexcatrescue.ca

Story
Beetle is extremely social and very friendly, loves attention and is not afraid to come looking for kisses and cuddles. A little shy at first with strangers, but easily won over with treats or a scratch behind the ears.Beetle amuses himself during the day and loves watching the small humans play outside the window. He has a wonderful temperament, is calm, sweet and gentle.Beetle especially loves his food and will wait patiently at his feeding mat when dinner time approaches. He's a big fluffy cat (but tries desperately to fit into the tiniest boxes). Beetle would like you to know that he has lymphoma, a slow growing intestinal cancer. It may sound scary, but with medication the cancer is kept at bay and will allow him to live happily and comfortably for many years. Beetle takes his medication like a champ and doesn't let his condition slow him down one bit.Beetle will quickly become a fantastic addition to any family. He has lots of life yet to live and tons of love to give.-------------------Beetle is neutered, microchipped and up to date on his vaccinations.-------------------To learn more about Beetle and how to adopt, please leave your number and the best time to reach you at 416-410-3835 or at adoption@annexcatrescue.ca
