Story
Hi! My name is Sparky and I am available for adoption.I was brought in by my previous owner on October 19, 2023 because they could no longer care for me. I lived in a home with other cats. I came in with Hippy (A697373), Boo (A697372), Samba (A697374), and Chacha (A697375). My previous owner described me as playful, affectionate, and food motivated.I am an affectionate lovebug who would be thrilled to cuddle up with you at home once I get to know you!Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home.My personality color is BLUE. I am a gentle and loving cat who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might need some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!Medical WaiverYour new pet received a basic physical exam, in addition to routine vaccines, deworming, and topical flea preventative, if indicated. Although your new pet is ready for adoption, there is always a possibility of additional medical conditions that have not been detected or may develop in the future. Current medical conditions are noted below.1) Mild upper respiratory infection: This cat has a mild upper respiratory infection (URI, a cat cold), which is most commonly a virus exacerbated by the stress of being in the shelter. They can be infectious to other cats. Generally speaking, cats with mild colds will get better all on their own, however mucous nasal discharge (snot), decreased appetite, or lethargy would be signs that they may need antibiotics.2) Conjunctivitis (red right eye): This is part of the upper respiratory infection. This cat is receiving medicated eye drops and will need to continue those drops as prescribed. Please have him rechecked if his eye is not completely normal by the time the prescription is finished.3) Obesity: This cat is severely obese. Obesity increases the risk of arthritis, diabetes, and other diseases, and is generally an unhealthy state of being. Please work with your veterinarian to safely decrease his body weight.
