Smores is such a pretty girl-she has great tortoiseshell coloring and markings. She is a young kitty, only two years old, and is looking for a home. She loves to play and seems like she would be a fun cat to live with. Smores can get a little nippy when she gets over-excited so we are looking for a home without very young children or toddlers. She has a little of the tortoiseshell sassiness to her but is still a friendly cat. Some of that might be a result of living in a cage. Shelters can be very stressful for some cats. Right now Smores spends most of her time sitting at the front of her cage waiting for some smart cat person to notice her. Don't make her wait too long. PLEASE don't let this cat get stuck in the shelter system! He deserves better than that! Esprit is a five-year-old cat who recently came to us from another overcrowded shelter. He has been in the shelter system since October of last year and we think it is time he found a permanent home! Sometimes you don't see the true personality of a cat in a shelter. Esprit is shy right now so he gets passed by but he spent time in a foster home before coming to us so we know how he acted in a home situation. That is valuable information. We were told that Esprit will probably be shy at first but once he gets to know you he absolutely loves the human touch. He likes your hand on his back to reassure him and he loves to be petted. When he was in his foster home he would sleep in his foster mom's lap while she was reading a book or watching television. He loved sitting in windows in the sun. He did all the things any normal cat would do. We are looking for a home for Esprit that is not too chaotic or active. We were told that he is good with other cats but is not too crazy about dogs. We are hoping someone will look past his shyness in our shelter and give him a chance. With Esprit you have the advantage of knowing how he was in a real home once he settled in. The shyness passed and he was just a normal kitty. Give him a chance; we think you will be glad you did. We think he deserves a happy ending! His adoption fee has been partially sponsored and will be reduced to $20 with an approved application.
