Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hi I am Clover! I had my DNA tested and I am a mix of a lot of cool dogs! I am Catahoula Leopard Dog, American Staffordshire Terrier, Lab and Siberian Husky!  I'm an energetic gal for my age and love exploring and smelling new places. I do have arthritis and an old ACL tear that was replaced but I don't let that stop me from being out and about but some days it slows me down. Squeaky toys are my all time favorite toy! I love to carry toys around in my mouth, it is my thing! I love the water and playing in the kiddie pool! If you like water and beaches I might be the gal for you! I need a home with no other animals. I like to be Queen Bee! I am a very smart girl!  If you are interested in Clover, we ask you to become a volunteers at Last Hope Adoption Center to get to know her! At first I do have stranger danger but I do worm up!  Clover's adoption fee is $250  includes her spay and microchip current vaccinations as well as a basic obedience class at Cedar Run in Hiawatha.  Last Hope requires all animals be kept indoors pets only altered currently on vaccinations and provide preventative year round.  Adoption process includes references and background check of that check and home visit.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Foster to Adopt My name is Gilbert, I'm a big guy that finding the most comfortable spot in the house! I can be bossy  and like things to go my way but the volunteers at Last Hope here have really learned to read my body language and we have always been able to come to agreement and find a solution for every problem.  I could do good in a home with a laid-back dog that is going to respect my space but no cats please.  Any kids in my home should be over 12 and dog savvy.  I typically form strong bonds with one person and coexist with my other people.  I've had surgery on my knees and the Doc says I'm as good as it’s going to get.  I can do a few stairs but would do best in a home with easy access to outside. I've been with Last Hope for a while, they have been great about taking care of my medical needs with the help of Critter Crusaders. Last Hope and Critter Crusaders will continue to cover my medical needs.  Gilbert is looking for a long-term medical foster that is large breed dog savvy.   If you are interested in being Gilberts long-term medical foster please fill out a foster application at adopthope.org  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. The name given to me by the amazing people that saved me is Velma, but my foster mom did not think I looked like a Velma, so I became Sophie.  I am a 2-3 year old, black and tan coonhound; I currently weigh in at about 60 lbs. and I am approximately 24" to the shoulders I definitely have a LOT of hound characteristics as I always have my nose to the ground. I have, at some point had litters, but I am scheduled to be spayed in March.  I am 90% house broken and my foster family is working very hard to get me to 100%.  My foster mom says I am extremely smart as I learned "SIT" in about 15  minutes!  I am learning to play with the other dogs in my family and I love to run in the yard.  I have the characteristic hound bark/bay and I could easily scare away anything that I thought was going to come into my yard.  I definitely need at least a 4' fence, as I can jump really high.  I do not bark when the doorbell rings or someone knocks, but I do meet two legged friends with lots of love and snuggles. I do not have any issues with other dogs and I don't bother the two kitties in my house.  I like to think I am a lap dog sometimes and snuggling with the teenager in my foster family is one of my favorite things to do! I even get to sleep in her bed with her every night!  I do not like when dogs come near me when I'm eating and it's best to just feed me away from everyone else or I get kind of growly.  I would be an excellent addition to any family, big or small, and I would love to be a permanent part of yours!
