Story
Candy is a one year old, 40 pound female Plott Hound.  She came to Needy Paws after being picked up as a stray in a county animal control in Illinois.  It was soon determined at animal control she was pregnant and needed rescue before having her babies.  Candy had 11 puppies on July 28!  She mothered her puppies and is now ready to focus on herself!  Unfortunately for Candy she is heartworm positive and is currently going through treatment.  Candy is an energetic, young girl looking for the perfect family!   She is good with cats and loves her people’s attention.  She would love to be pampered and spoiled by a family of her own.  Candy is part of our adoption special. Her adoption fee is only $100! If you are interested in meeting Candy, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Candy’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter. I found Hazel about 5 months ago as a stray in pacific, we assumed she was just dropped off because there was a metal bowl in the woods that she kept going back to, she was really skinny, had fleas, not spayed or microchipped so we wanted to make sure she was healthy while looking for her owner. I got her all her vaccines, spayed her, dewormed her and got her to gain weight. She is potty trained now, loves other dogs, would do best with a fenced in yard, she is about 1 yr old according to the vet, she is also heart worm negative. Hazel is a sweet dog who loves to give hugs and just wants love and attention.

“On the road again. Just can’t wait to get on the road again. Making music with my friends” Bowooooo wooo woo. Singing on the road is so much fun. My name’s molly and currently I’ve been road doggin with my foster mom while she travels for work. Turns out I’m an amazing copilot. I am about a year old and they call me a plott hound mix. I’m about 40 pounds or so and I’m as big as I’m going to get. Foster mom says I’m doing great learning all the rules to being in a house. I am potty trained and i don’t chew up your stuff, just my toys annnnd sometimes a water bottle. (plastic disposable ones.) I don’t do so great with other animals, and I’m not a super fan of wheels. Hey if it hasn't got legs it shouldn’t be moving. Speaking of moving I’m all ready to move in with you so come get me please.
