Story
Chewy is 3 years old. He is house broken and was crate trained. He is smart and loves people. He has lived with cats, but will chase them if they run. He is generally good with other dogs and has been taken to a dog park regularly. He loves his daily walks and enjoys car rides. We are moving to Chicago and unable to take him with us. We hoped to find him a new home among our friends but have been unable to do so.

Story
3.5 year old Sean loves petting and hugging. He walks well on leash and gets along with other dogs and 15 year or older children, but not cats. During the April "Spring 'Em from the Shelter" Special until April 30th his adoption fee is $20. If you are interested in adopting a new pet from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://pets.georgetown.org/adoption/adoption-contract/ and then e-mail it to animalsvc@georgetown.org . This is a temporary change to operations put in place to protect visitors, volunteers, and staff. Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions. The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Please visit our website for more information on how to adopt, special events, adoption application, educational and volunteer information. http://pets.georgetown.org/ Georgetown Animal Shelter P.O. Bloodhound American Pit Bull Terrier

Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs,
Story
We rescued the mother to these pups off of a busy highway. After an unsuccessful, extensive search for her owner we decided to keep her. Our bloodhound instantly fell in love with her before we got her in to be fixed. These 3 really need to find their forever homes because since their arrival we saved another dog from another busy road & we are in the process of trying to find her people. So we have to keep them in a large horse stall for their safety & although we do allow them several hours a day to run and play, they really need a yard and more attention. They are smart, very lovable & they very much want to please.
