Hi there! I'm Twix. I'm a four-year old male and likely a Plott Hound mix. I'm so ready to find my best friend and have a lot of love to give. I've been in the Fort Worth Animal Care & Control Shelter since June, but have recently spent time in a foster home and am really quiet. I sleep all night in my kennel and am house trained too. I love squeaky toys and will play soccer with you. I'm a big cuddler and will lean up against you if you show me affection. I already know how to sit, shake, lie down, and I'll get in my kennel peacefully if you put a treat in there. I'm very friendly, but would prefer a home without other pets. I'll bond with you quickly and love you for taking me home. I'll fit right in -- sleeping when you sleep, playing when you play, and otherwise shadowing you around the house because I love being close to you. I'm heartworm positive, but the shelter will take care of bringing me back to full health if you adopt me.

Helena is a gorgeous 2 year old Plott Hound mix. She is very loving and people oriented. She ignores other animals and is the most loyal Companion. She was a great mom to ten babies and is now ready for her forever home. She is about 45 pounds and is very gentle. She is potty trained as well. She would enjoy a daily walk! Story
Buddy was given to me to care for from a friend that could no longer care for him. He is a very sweet natured dog. Buddy is approximately 6 years old. He gets along well with other dogs, but does not like cats. He is completely housetrained and was trained to hunt small game, such as raccoon, fox, etc. He is obedient and loves to snuggle. His coat is smooth and slick and he does not shed. He rarely barks. The person who left Buddy in my care did not know that Buddy does not like cats. I have two housecats that I have had for many years and it is quite the challenge to keep Buddy separated from my cats. Buddy is current on his vaccinations. Buddy is heart worm positive and I have been providing Ivermectin and Doxycyclomine to cure him of the heart worms. He is on flea and tick preventative as well. I hope to find him a loving home as soon as possible. Keeping him and my cats apart is a daily challenge that we can't continue.
