Story
Meet Scarlett: A Toy-Loving, Water-Enthusiast. Scarlett is a ball of energy, always eager to explore and play. One of her main missions in life is to point at squirrels and birds in your backyard – after all, she is a pointer mix. While she may not be your typical cuddle buddy, she showcases her affection through playful interactions. She does well with puppies and can match their play energy.Scarlett is an extraordinary water lover. After playing with her favorite ball toy, she loves to cool down by laying in bodies of water and splashing the water with her feet. She is a bit stubborn when following commands, but offer a toy as a reward, and her demeanor will change. She is play-motivated which is perfect for implementing reward-based training techniques. She’s not a fan of crates and might need a gentle nudge or toys to get in. But don`t worry, once inside, she settles down without a fuss.If you have a yard, prepare to see it become her playground. Scarlett revels in running around in open spaces. She also loves sitting down to bird and squirrel watch.Toys & RewardsObsessed with toys, she considers them the ultimate prize. This can be leveraged for obedience and trick training. Scarlett has a strong affection for her toys, which can sometimes turn into possessiveness around other dogs. This trait can actually be useful for structured play and training scenarios where resource control is important. A watchful eye during these times will help maintain harmony.Scarlet has participated in shelter playgroups  and may enjoy a compatible canine friend in her new home.  Looking for a buddy for your dog?  Bring him/her to the shelter for a meet and greet and see if we`re a match!  Check out her playgroup video here:To meet me, visit the Bradshaw Animal Shelter Tuesday-Sunday, Noon - 5:00 pm, Wednesdays, Noon - 6:00 pm. Story
Bandit came to us as a feral dog living in a walnut orchard. He was mistreated by people. So he is best with a women once he gets to know her. He is very affectionate once he trust you. Will sleep in bed with you. He would be best in a home with a single women with out other people coming in and out. Very quiet does not mess with anything. Loves all other animals. Would not hurt anything or anyone. Call darlene for more info 925 914-1416 All of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, up to date on their shots and have a wellness check-up prior to a adoption being finalized. Keep in mind that any dog in a new environment, regardless of training and age will need your attention in the potty training department during a transition.
