Story
Meet Milner! He is about 3 years old and we think he is a Pointer and English Setter mix. Milner came to Labs and More in rough shape with some broken teeth, a heart murmur and an injury on his tail. Now that he is with us, he is getting the care and attention his needs. Milner is new to Labs and More so we don't know much about him yet. If you are interested in meeting Milner, please submit an adoption application on our website. This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at www.labsandmore.org and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. The safety and health of our puppies is priority one, so we only allow approved applicants to meet and handle puppies. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. Labs and More is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that operates on donations and time dedicated to this cause by volunteers. Your adoption will save the life of future dogs in need. Labs and More makes no guarantees regarding the behavior, breed, or age of the dogs in our care. Although we strive to provide necessary medical care to dogs in our care, we cannot predict future or current medical needs whether they were symptomatic or not at the time of adoption.Thank you for looking to Adopt a Labrador Retriever or other Mixed Breed Dog from California Labradors Retrievers and More Rescue. Story
Say hello to Mickey! On August 15th, 15-year-old Mickey was surrendered by his family to Carson Shelter and allegedly could not walk. On Saturday morning, August 17th, the shelter sent an email to Adoption Partners letting them know that Mickey was declining and needed exit by 4:30 pm that day or he would be euthanized. Think of Mickey sitting in the shelter, confused about where his family went and alarmed by his paralysis. With the help of a whole team of volunteers, we leapt into action and brought Mickey to safety at Frosted Faces Foundation. Mickey actually can walk; he is just wobbly! Once he gets going he really engages too. On days where he seems to struggle more, he has a wheelchair. This guy is strong in his front end and man can he fly in his wheels! He goes on our Frosted Fakers hikes every week and shreds the trails. Mickey still has so much love to give!  He probably would not do well with stairs, but he doesn't mind being carried when necessary. Mickey made it to the golden years!  Who will love him through the best of his life?  Mickey lives onsite at Frosted Faces Foundation. Come visit him at Open House!   Visit us at Open House: Saturdays & Sundays, 10 am - 1 pm CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO COVID-19 Learn more about our programs at www.frostedfacesfoundation.org/family. Story
Please review our Adoption Process before filling out an application.Meet Armstrong! This handsome little devil is a PUPPY... active and full of puppy shenanigans! As of 2/28 He is approx 4mo and 15lbs rescued in late January off the streets of Tijuana as a singleton wandering the streets. We think he is a lab/shep mix who will be in the 40-60lbs range full grown (prob 45-60 pounds ), but it's hard to tell as he is just catching up with his malnourished state and growing faster. He is a super outgoing, loving pup making friends left and right! He will, of course, need an active adopter who can keep up and has time to do LOTS of training from house, potty and obedience. He is crate trained. These pups will do best with an adopter who is prepared to do dog training and sign up to continue to socialize them with dogs on and off leash as well as learning some basic obedience. Armstrong will be available to meet forever homes and can go home starting Friday 2/28 in the 92117 area code and we can only schedule meet and greets with adoption applications submitted online on our wesbite @arwob.orgDon't wait...Submit an adoption application today!    DOG ADOPTION APPLICATIONVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
She’s an awesome dog for kids and adults alike. She loves to walk and cuddle She rarely barks - occasionally at the doorbell but that’s it. She is a sucker for a comfy sofa but generally sleeps on the floor or in her dog bed. We need to re home Lily because we live in a very intimate neighborhood with little yard, and she is simply not good around other dogs. We have had too many “close calls” and feel that the responsible thing is to place her somewhere she cannot harm another dog even though it’s heartbreaking for us.
