This is little Albie. He is about 2 years old pointer mix as of 1/20. He came to Southern Illinois Pointer Rescue from a high kill rate shelter in Memphis, TN. Albie had both bones in his front leg broken, mange and other ailments. Despite all of his problems, Albie is a real sweetheart and loves everybody and everything. He is all healed now and wants his own family. Very playful and great with other female dogs. Good with males that are good to him and good with cats. Annie was surrendered with her pal an English Setter. No reason given. She was in a kill shelter in OK. She is super friendly and learning how to live in a house. She gets along with all of our dogs. Super sweet and loves attention. Very energetic. Will add more info after we've had her longer. Spayed, up to date on Vaccinations. UPDATE: Had her retested and she is HW+. We are starting treatment. On hold for a bit

Indy (formerly Alfalfa) was rescued from where else, Indianapolis. He is a 5+? year old big puppy. Loves to play fetch. Knows "sit", "shake" and "roll over". Pointer mix with ? Big boy and a sweetheart. Neutered and HW neg. A healthy boy that loves people and loves to play. Good with other dogs. Returned from adoption because he kept climbing the fence so he'll need a taller fenced yard or a underground dog fence (He's already trained on them). Was living in the house while adopted. This sweet girl is Sweet Pea.  She is possibly a pit bull/pointer mix and loves attention.  Sweet Pea weighs about 63 lbs.  She is good with cats and kids. She is housebroke and crate trained.  She would be a great family pet. She is going through heart worm treatment right now but she could still be adopted to the right home while going through her treatment which we will pay for. Sweet Pea is part of our monthly special! Her adoption fee is only $100! If you are interested in meeting Sweet Pea, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Sweet Pea ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip. We are a 100% foster-based rescue and all of our dogs live in approved foster homes. We are dedicated to finding the best Forever Homes, and will perform home visits and conduct veterinarian and reference checks for each potential adopter.
