I'm the kind of dog who loves to go for a walk around the neighborhood or take a hike through the woods, but I'm also okay just hanging out around the house with you. We'll have fun no matter what we do! * Kyra is a sweet girl who enjoys attention and loves being near people. She will give little kisses for and leans in for petting. She is looking for a home where she will get lots of attention from her adopter. She's also a fun and spunky girl looking for an adopter who will get her daily play time and appropriate exercise. Kyra is looking for home where she can be a single pet. ❤️Lady❤️ She is the most adoptable of the 3. She is a 14 yr old Pointer mix, and was pulled from IACS last September just in the nick of time. She was malnourished and had pyometra, so was sent off for an emergency spay. She is wonderful! She doesn’t act like a 14 yr old at all. She likes to play ball and runs like a younger dog after her ball. She does need to be on Proin for the remainder of her life, and she does great on it. No more leaks! Lady really likes her kitty friends, and I often find them sleeping together. She is ok with some other dogs who don’t get in her face or confront her and like their own space, but would enjoy being an only dog with a kitty friend or 2, for sure. She does not like, nor need to be crated. I just had blood work done on her and everything came back normal!😊

Story
We adopted Gimli 6 years ago from a shelter. Gimli is 7 years old but is still a very energetic dog. He loves to snuggle as well so he is okay with lots of downtime. His favorite thing to do in bask in the sun. He loves spending lots of time outside during the spring and summer season laying on our deck. Gimli is very well potty trained and can ask to go outside by patting the back door. He also understands to sit, lay, wait, and can be called to your side by patting your hip. Gimli is a highly intelligent dog and we did training courses with him when we first adopted him. He is also dominant, he does well with our other submissive dog but has had issues with other dominant dogs in the past. Gimli is not great with small children and seems to fear their unpredictability. We do have one small toddler with another on the way and he can be patient with our son but has given him many warning growls. Gimli would do amazing with a home that can give him lots of exercise and love!
