Scooter came to our home at 5 weeks old. We had to puppy formula feed him for a few weeks. He quickly grew and is not about 50 pounds. He is full of energy and very hyper. We do not have room to let him roam outside. He tend to run away. A fenced yard would be good for Scooter. He is crate trained and sleeps in it at night. He is very loving and wants to please.

Story
Lambeau is a wonderful dog. He’s 4 yrs old. I had to down size and he can’t live at my apartments. He needs a yard to run. He’s house broke and will let you know he needs to go out. He doesn’t like crates or other dogs. He’s fine with cats. He not really happy with small kids that will get in his face or pull on his ears. He will growls but he’s never bit anyone. When he eats he growls the whole time but it’s his breed. He a cuddle bug and love’s attention. Please someone help me out and give him a loving caring home with a yard to run. I have paperwork for everything if you are interested in my dog.

Meet Star! Star is a 5 year old Pointer mix. Star is a super sweet girl. She is house trained and does well with older kids. She needs an active family that keep her busy and exercised. Star needs a home with NO cats, and this pretty little lady prefers the company of male dogs only. If you would like to make this sweet girl a part of your family, fill out an application at www.barktownrescue.org. STAR'S ADOPTION FEE IS $150The shelter software system requires that we choose a predominant breed or breed mix for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only guessing at the dog's predominant breed or breed mix. We strongly encourage you to select your new pet by looking at each dog's individual personality and pet qualities rather than relying on a breed label that is only our best guess.    Our adoption fees vary from $150 and up.  All of our dogs are up to date on vaccines, heart worm preventives, and flea/tick medication, and will be spayed/neutered prior to adoption. Portions of your adoption fee also help care for the sick and injured animals that we take in.  Thank you for supporting us and considering a rescue dog!
