Comet is a sweet, goofy boy & is looking for his forever home.   He came to us as a stray that was never reclaimed.  Comet appears to like other dogs, and would do better in a home with no children or older, considerate children.  Kids close to his size seem to make him nervous.   He is up to date on shots, dewormed, neutered, heartworm tested (negative) & microchipped.  His adoption fee is $175.00.   He is currently residing in our shelter & would love a foster or adoptive home. He is happy and active, napping upside down running in his dreams, by your side, or in front of my kids doors at night. When nice out he has a harness and goes running 3+ miles with me at the park. He wont jump on new people but every new person who sits down has to let him endlessly. He is great with my kids for the last 4 years. One kid is 10 and the other isn't 3 yet and he was perfect around the newborn. Only requirement is a decent backyard to chase things that move, soak up the sun in the mornings and a tall fence. He can hop like a deer! Please ask any questions we want this to be as calm of a transition as possible for him and us.

Hello, my name is Benson. I am about 8 years old. My human parents got me from the shelter 6 years ago. I am a good boy. I am very good with kids. I am energetic at first so please give me a moment to adjust before putting toddlers or babies near me. I love to run and need more space and a fenced-in yard. Sadly my human parents got a divorce and my human mom has been struggling to balance being a single mom, work, provide, and my little humans have let me out many many times over the last several months. They are also about to move and they want to help me find a home that I can get more attention and have more space. I know basic commands but I do need more training for walking on a leash, staying, and not running off when I get a bit of freedom. I am sweet and calming. I love to sit by you. I am silly, i like to back up onto a seat. I really am a good boy. Can you help me?

This sweet girl is Sweet Pea.  She is possibly a pit bull/pointer mix and loves attention.  Sweet Pea weighs about 63 lbs.  She is good with cats and kids. She is housebroke and crate trained.  She would be a great family pet. She is going through heart worm treatment right now but she could still be adopted to the right home while going through her treatment which we will pay for. Sweet Pea is part of our monthly special! Her adoption fee is only $100! If you are interested in meeting Sweet Pea, complete the Adoption Application on our website at www.NeedyPaws.org and we will contact you. Adopters must live within an hour’s drive of St. Louis, MO. Sweet Pea ’s adoption fee is $100.00, which includes up-to-date vaccinations, heartworm testing and preventative, spay/neuter and microchip.
