Maizey is a 3.5 year old fiercely loyal, loving, and playful pitty/pointer mix who is looking for a new home! She adores people and is equally happy cuddling on the couch (actually that’s her favorite), going for a hike, or playing in a backyard. Her impressively expressive eyebrows allow for this very emotionally intelligent dog to always let you know what she’s thinking. After being attacked at dog park, her reactivity and resource guarding behaviors around other dogs has increased and would likely do best in a one-pet household with room for her to run and take naps in the sun. We will deeply miss her but know she will be happier outside of the city!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Jack M and his family come to rescue from Texas. He is a pup to Bailey, and is thought to be a Heeler/Pointer mix. He was born in June 2018. Jack M did have an unfortunate incident during birth - his toes were torn off. We are unsure at this time what the long term impact will be since he is so very little and not yet fully mobile. He has been getting around just fine and it seems at this point that he may need a booty later to protect the foot but not necessarily a prosthetic. He does not let his deformity slow him down and loves to race around with his siblings! He is a sweet and playful boy! He can sometimes be a little nervous around strangers and because it may take some time for him to adjust and warm up we feel a home with older, respectful children would be best suited for Jack. Jack will be up to date on shots (age appropriate) and neutered prior to placement in his forever home. He is great with other dogs. We were able to save Malia out of a severe hoarding situation where she had been kept in a stack of crates in a warehouse. We are so happy that now we can finally show Malia what the good life is like! She had gotten all the medical care she needs with our vet partner and now it is time for her to find the most wonderful and loving forever home. We can’t wait to see this beautiful and happy girl finally adored and loved unconditionally! Despite what Malia has endured, she is so very sweet and playful. She has the cutest speckled “socks.” We don't know what happened to Malia to cause this, but she is fearful of men and would do best in a female household (no apartments) with someone home more often than not. Any children in the home should be older, and it would be best if there are no cats in the home. She will be spayed and up to date on vaccines prior to placement in her forever home. Because of that the rescuers and foster family are sponsoring there adoption fees. So the only expense for adopter would be the transport fee.🐾🚐🐾 This is a quote from their foster. "Adorable pups need a great home. Chip and Camille are lively, sweet and affectionate. These precious dogs were found in danger of being hit by cars on an Interstate in Alabama, and although their owner was eventually identified, he declined to pick them at the shelter. They are about a year old, healthy, spayed and neutered, and up-to-date on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. They weigh 25-30 pounds. Chip and Camille are likely littermates, and because they are bonded, we want to ensure that they will stay together. They are looking for a home with a safely fenced yard for play, warm beds, and most importantly, people who will cherish them." Then a few add on comments. They are the tightest and self contained of units. These two will need patient adopters due to some of their more annoying habits. However, their sweetness makes up for it. They are housebroken. Terrible on leashes—we carry them instead! Do not know about cats or kids. They get along with all of our dogs. Camille is particularly easygoing and plays well with everyone. Chip plays well and will snuggle with our other dogs on beds after playing. They are not food-aggressive with people or dogs. However, I note that Chip will bark and snap (not bite) at our dogs if the dog approaches while Chip is on the sofa with me, so he can be a bit territorial. Welcome Romeo. He is a 2-year-old Pointer/Lab is our best guess. He has a robust body with the really floppy down ears. He is good with other dogs, good with people and ready for his forever home. He is submissive and will belly flop if another dog challenges him. He is an active boy so his best home would be with someone that likes to hike, jog, run or be active. He will settle down for a snuggle too after he has had his play time. He is good with people and will make some lucky family a wonderful companion. He was pulled off the euthanasia list and is now in CCPAL Rescue looking for his forever home. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185.
