"Dillinger" is a purebred Pointer who came to us from ACS (San Antonio). This lovely dog was born 6/09 and weighs 70lbs. Like most pointers, he has energy to burn and thoroughly enjoys a dip in the pool. Dillinger is neutered, heartworm negative, current on shots, micro-chipped and house-trained. He recovered nicely from a corneal injury to his left eye and now has full vision in both eyes. Dillinger has a fabulous temperament and needs a family that will take him on long walks or hiking in the woods. Six foot fence is a must for this dog and indoor cats only. Dillinger is fine with children of all ages, but we prefer to place him in a home without infants or toddlers. He loves to run and has so much energy he could easily knock over a small child and not even realize it.

Story
Bonnie is a very friendly 2yr. old dog. She loves attention like rubbing her belly. She is trained to lay on her pillow on the floor in the house and she sleeps in a kennel at night. She loves to play outside a lot except if weather is too hot (like month of Aug) we bring her indoors. She does not bite or chew on furniture. She is definitely good to be on her own or not with another female dog because she wants to be in charge. And she is a good guard dog. She follows commands: “Sit, stay, eat, go”consistently:) She gets excited around our grandson and is not aggressive. Bonnie can be redirected easily to obey your commands :)

A quiet dog who rarely barks, so he's a better companion for TV watching than as a guard dog. He likes long walks and exploring new places. He's very smart and very trainable. Knows basic commands and is a treat motivated dog.

Say hello to Wyatt! He is the happiest boy you will ever meet! Wyatt has the most adorable wiggle butt and absolutely can't contain his excitement every time someone enters his kennel. You can definitely see the Pointer in him; he will sometimes fixate on things in his surroundings and get in that Pointer stance. When out in play yards, he runs around with the most joyful hops! Some of you may recognize Wyatt from when he was with us last year. Unfortunately, he was recently brought back due to food reactivity. Wyatt's previous family shared that he was non reactive to the adults with his food bowl, but was reactive with their 12 year old son. When tested at the shelter, he was non reactive to us.You can't help but smile when you're around this cutie. Not only does Wyatt adore people, but he gets along well with other dogs. Wyatt genuinely loves his life and deserves to share that love with the perfect family! Wyatt is a Hound/Pointer mix, weighs 50 pounds, and was born on 5/13/2021. He is neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and flea/tick/heartworm preventative. Wyatt must be an indoor dog, meaning he sleeps in the home setting and does not live outside. Story
Driving down the busy highway, I saw two scrawny puppies almost get hit. I pulled over and enticed them into the car. Two weeks later, Layla's sister found a forever home. Layla was quite sad about her sister leaving, but she continued to get healthier. As she grew, we noticed her extreme intelligence and ability to take to training. We work out of town though, and so she did not get the reinforcements and consistent training a puppy needs. She developed some habits such as trying to take over as the alpha of the pack, which has made our other, much older dogs unhappy, and hence our rating that we think she would be better in a single dog family. She is so loving and sweet, though. She thrives on positive attention and has natural pointer skills. She is timid around new situations, but does warm up after exposure, except around small children. Layla would be a very loyal, forever family member for the right person.
