Story
Contact info: Knichols4@hot.rr.com This young lady is an A+ pooch who is estimated about 2-3 years old & a gorgeous lemon/white most likely English Pointer mix (maybe mixed with Labrador?). She weighs around 50lbs & should blend in to a wide variety of homes. Her original family was never found but she was clearly accustomed to life in a home & being part of a family as she loves people so very much. Her favorite thing in the world is getting attention, cuddling on the couch, & being petted. She has done well in a crate, on a leash and she enjoys car rides. This pretty girl has good manners - she is not pushy or rude but she does prefer being inside with her humans. She would never pass up a game of fetch if you wanted to play, but she is also happy to hang out beside you & relax. While PupPup doesn’t currently live with children, it’s likely she would do great in a home with loving, older kids given her gentle nature & good manners and she has been friendly with all women and men she had met so far. She hasn’t been bothered by seeing dogs from a distance so should do fine out on walks around the neighborhood or to the park. But, she does seem a bit overwhelmed/insecure when meeting other dogs up close right now. So, for now, she would be happiest in a home where she could be the only dog to scoop up all the love. She is sweet, smart, LOVES toys and people and will follow you anywhere! She is heart worm positive and has been started on all of her medications.

Story
2 year old 2 year old Benson per his Starmark trainer: "Benson is a big, goofy, smart boy who is full of energy. He loves to run and learn! He'll play fetch with anything, a ball, toy, or Frisbee. He also loves to tug and will usually bring the tug toy right back for more. He is obedience trained and knows sit, down, place (really good at place), heel, and come. He also knows several clicker tricks (spin, turn, touch, target, hide, rollover, wave, and bow). Benson is crate trained. Tell him "kennel" and he'll go right to it. He loves to chew, so Nylabones are a hit. He needs lots of mental and physical activity to help keep him from getting bored. He likes a good morning rub. He's probably not well suited for children under 6 years old or cats. Overall, he's a good boy and has a lot of potential for the right owner(s)." As a member of the Lonely Hearts Club his adoption fee is $20. If you are interested in adopting a new pet from the City of Georgetown Animal Shelter, please fill out an application at https://pets.georgetown.org/adoption/adoption-contract/ and then e-mail it to animalsvc@georgetown.org . This is a temporary change to operations put in place to protect visitors, volunteers, and staff. Approved applicants will be contacted to schedule an appointment to meet available dogs and cats. Please contact the shelter with any additional questions. The application/screening process for potential adopters usually takes about 24 hours except when it falls over a weekend or holiday, and then it may take two or three days. We ask that potential adopters please be patient with us; we are only trying our best to ensure that the homeless pets in our care get the best possible home. All cats and dogs adopted from our shelter are spayed or neutered (as Texas law mandates). Our adoption fee is currently $70 for non-residents and $75 for residents*. The adoption fee includes: spaying/neutering vaccinations (appropriate to species and age) heartworm or feline leukemia test (appropriate to species and age) de-worming medication microchip (a tiny ID tag inserted under the skin, which allows your pet to be returned to you quickly) There is a $5 Pet License fee added to the adoption fee if the adopter lives inside the City Limits of Georgetown. Story
This is Jax, about 3-4 years old. He is healthy and neutered. He weighs 50-60 lbs. He knows sit, stay, down, off and shake. He is great with children and loves to play with them. He loves belly rubs and loves to go on walks and run around. He loves his toys. He gets along with our other 2 dogs and stays clear of the cat, she's not too fond of anyone. He needs a parent or family that can give him the attention we can not give him. He needs either a place for him to run or opportunities to get out of the house to run.
