Story
Juno came to the shelter as a stray so not much is known about her past. During her stay at the shelter Juno struggled with keeping her kennel clean at first, but has drastically improved over the course of a few days. Juno appears to behave politely to her canine neighbors and has been very friendly and outgoing with the staff. Juno likely lived most of her live outside and will need housetraining and socializing to help her mature into a well-rounded companion. Juno is an Alaskan Husky and will need plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. If Juno does not get ample amounts of exercise she may develope some less than desirable behaviors. Juno has a high prey drive and will likely chase and attack cats and small critters, so she must go to a home without kitties or pocket pets; likewise, she should meet any smaller dogs (less than 20#) before being adopted. Mutual visits with other dogs are always recommended as well as meeting any children that live in the home prior to adoption to ensure it will be a good fit!

Story
03/28/20 14:39 Red was surrendered to the shelter due to his owner having lost their job due to Covid-19 along with Copper, Golden Girl, Bluey, Elby, Coco, and Chewy. We unfortunately do not have many details on them. Red is an extremely enthusiastic boy, who is excited about just about everything! He has been harness broken and seems to be the cheerleader of the team. When harnessed Red was extremely excited and very ready to go. He has been an exceptional eater while he has been here. Red has the potential to become an indoor dog, but extra patience and guidance should be given. Red is an extremely active boy, so he will require lots of exercise. Alaskan Huskies are extremely intelligent and require daily exercise, or they are known for becoming destructive. What better way to spend your quarantine, then getting to know this enthusiastic boy!

Aurora is a nervous girl who may take a bit of time to adjust to her new surroundings and become trusting of her new human/s. Aurora is a sweet girl and did very well in her previous home and will likely do well in her next as long as she and her new people are set up for success in her new home. Aurora is a strong girl who likes to take her human/s for a walk so you can expect nice muscles after the first couple weeks with her! Aurora would love to meet you and learn more about if she is a good fit for your home today!
