Story
Sybil is a female Pug/Beagle mix (often referred to as a Puggle), approximately 25 lbs and 8.5 years old.  She is spayed and up to date on vetting.  Families looking for a non-shedding dog should not consider Sybil as she does shed.   Sybil recently joined a foster home that has people coming/going and there is another dog as well; she adapted and settled in to the family routine very easily, is housetrained and sleeps through the night.  She's done well when left alone in the home, knows some basic commands and is quite skilled at catching treats. Sybil likes to be where the humans are, she is happy to lay near you in the kitchen, around the dining room or on the couch beside you.  She is a mellow dog, although when you come home or getting attention, she gets very wiggly and excited; rolls over for some tummy rubbing action Sybil may be reactive when she comes across certain dogs along her walks, but this is not the case with all dogs. The nice thing is that she is easily distracted and does well with praise when she ignores them.   Sybil twisted her right paw a few years ago and is currently getting Cartrophen injections once per month. She also has a small does of an anti-inflammatory medicine mixed with her food daily.  Her right leg seems to bother her when she has been overly active, although she still loves to go for walks .  She loves to play 'tug' with her "fur brother" or the humans. She has not been exposed to small children or cats while in the foster home.  Sybil has a sweet disposition!  She is the best of everything you could want in a dog - she is fun, happy, well mannered and not high maintenance or high energy. She will adapt easily and be a wonderful addition to a loving home.   here's a video link of Sybil: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqNjduAghDM&feature=youtu.be

Story
Archie is a sweet little two year old boy. He has a great personality - funny, cute and a little shy. He walks great on a leash and gets along great with other dogs. He weighs about 30 pounds and is neutered and up to date on his shots. . Archie is doing great in his foster home with another dog. We are looking for a loving and caring home for this cutie pie. Archie is a bit bowlegged but it doesn't slow him down a bit. If you are looking for a companion to cuddle on the couch and go for rides in the car and hang out then this is your guy. If you live in the Toronto area and would like to learn more about Archie and our foster to adopt program, please contact our rescue at c4ptoronto@gmail.com.

Story
Bella is an approx 3 year old bulldog mix. She was surrendered because family had a baby and she growled at it. So, no children for this girl. In foster, Bella is "lovely" (but it should be noted that her foster does not let her get away with anything, the foster is the boss!). She is getting along with other dogs (she walks with them, but has a separate level to live in). She apparently used to live with a cat (but we have not seen her interact with cats while we have had her). She walks very well on leash. Bella should go to a home with Bulldog experience. Due to her past, she will need to be monitored for guarding/possessive behaviours, and anything along these lines will need to be corrected early on. Bella can certainly be a bossy dog, and needs to be kept "in check". She will become dominant if given the chance. For these reasons, she needs an adult only home, and one where owners will not let her have control. Bella is an absolute sweetheart, and a cuddly girl...she just needs an experienced and firm owner so that she can always be her best self.

Story
Bristol is a young active bulldog mix female who is looking for her forever home. She should not live with cats or kids due to lack of exposure, and excitability. Bristol is good with other dogs, and would enjoy a playful dog sibling to keep her company and run around and play with her. She is reactive to other dogs when on leash, but can be corrected. Bristol is a high energy dog. She is still a puppy, and needs strong discipline and guidance. Foster reports that she is easily trainable, but will need a firm, experienced owner. Bristol loves attention from all adults, but is not a fan of children. 14+ would be best for this girl (and with any age child/young adult, she will likely take a while to get used to them). She is definitely a toy destroyer! She will also go after anything left out: shoes, slippers, etc (she is just a puppy). Bristol is crate trained and can go all night without needing to go out. She would be good left alone for a few hours during the day. She is learning to spend time in the crate to calm down.
