Story
Hi, my name is Maxi! I was an owner surrender to be euthanized due to having IVDD. Thanks to some amazing humans at Little Paws, I was given a second fighting chance! I need to be introduced slowly to other furry friends, I am a little picky with who I choose to befriend. Those other four-legged creatures that meow interest me a lot, so it may be better to just stick with the woof’ing pals! My foster mom says I’m like her shadow, following her around for love and attention at all times, so I’ll need someone who will also give enjoy showering me with those things. Due to me having IVDD, I will need an at-home adopter or someone who will only be gone a few hours at a time to care for my disabilities and help with my potty time. When my foster mom is out I prefer being in my x-pen instead of a kennel. I am a very sweet girl and I’m looking for someone to give me all the loving and kisses furever! If you are interested in knowing more about me, please contact my foster mom (label2791@msn.com). Fill out an adoption application http://littlepawsdachshundrescue.rescuegroups.org/forms/form_humanverify?formid=2724 Adoption Fee:  $150.00 + $45.00 for a health certificate if going over state lines (required by law).  Dogs adopted in New England are subject to additional rules and regulations by the state departments of agriculture. Complying with these regulations is expensive for our rescue, and all dogs adopted in New England states are subject to an additional $150 fee to help cover a portion of these expenses.  TRANSPORTATION HELP! If you see a furbaby that would be a match for your family, please don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to have a volunteer transport to assist with transportation or refer you to a paid transport.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
