Laya was very shy when she met her foster parents for the first time. They were patient and gave her time to adjust and settle in, and she warmed up to them in just a few days. She is now one happy little dog! She loves to sit on the couch with either her foster dad or mom and have them scratch her belly while they watch TV. Once she has enough, she will go to her bed and snuggle in for the night. She loves to play with squeaky toys, and she will shake them from side to side to let them know she's the boss! She gets along well with her two foster siblings, and she like to go outside with them to play on fair weather days. Laya may not do well with large dogs, so she should go to a home with either small dogs or no other dogs. Laya would love to be an only dog so she can get all the attention! Laya is housebroken using a doggie door, but she's not a fan of being crated. Laya does not like to be picked up from the floor. When you bend over her, she feels threatened. If she's sitting on a couch or chair, she is fine to be picked up. Laya will be a loving and loyal companion for the right person.

Who’s ready for Puggle Time? My name is Munchkin and yup, I’m a puggle (that’s a mix of a pug and beagle). I’m 11 years old and looking for my forever home. I’m taller than your average pug – about “knee height” and around 24 pounds. Foster mum says I’m one happy girl. My tail is always wagging and I love to meet new people and pugs. I know how to sit for treats and although I rarely, rarely bark – when I do I sound just like a beagle (if you’ve ever heard a beagle bark you know what I mean – ha). I’m pretty active – I love to play with other dogs and I’m always up for a new adventure. I’m house trained and learned how to use the doggie door in no time at all. I lost my left eye to glaucoma and I need drops in my remaining eye to prevent any problems – but I’m really good about getting my drops. Oh one other thing, I don’t hear very well. My name is Dixie Belle and I’ll go first because I am the queen bee in this duo! I am beautiful and amazing of course! I do have my moments of grumpiness like when I am deprived of treats I think I deserve! I am otherwise a social and friendly gal. I will sleep in a crate, but I won’t be happy about it. I would prefer to sleep in a cozy dog bed. I am house trained with the occasional accident at night, but will happily use a “pee pad” when I can’t wait until morning. I love going on walks and do great on a leash. I am a fun gal and love stuffed toys with squeakers. I also love Preston so I’ll let him have a turn! Preston here and I am also amazing. My name is Shadeux and I am an 11-year-old black boy Puggle that loves meeting people and making friends. More friends means more petting and more treats so I’m all for that! I am a darling lap dog that gives kisses freely. My hobbies include playing in the backyard with my best friend Little Bit and eating treats.
