You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!   Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting.  If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <underdogrescue@petml.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Due to concern around COVID-19, Underdog Rescue is suspending all public adoption events and community events. We are still accepting applications for available dogs but are delaying in-person meet and greets due to the ‘stay at home’ policy. Thank you for your support.  DOB:  7/01/2011 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Requires a fenced yard:  Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hello, my name is Regina and I am an adorable adult female Chihuahua who has beautiful long hair. I will admit that I am a pretty timid lady, so I prefer to hang out in my safe place…you humans call it a kennel, but for me it’s a safe place. My other safe place is foster mom's closet.  I’m getting braver every day as I periodically leave my safe place to go find where my foster family is and just to see what’s going on…I may be timid, but I’m inquisitive and like to check out the goings on in my foster home. I am potty trained for the most part especially if nothing scares me, but I don’t voice my desire or need to go out, so I will sometimes potty in the house if you don't keep me on a schedule.  I just know though that once I understand that I’m really safe with and loved by my family I will hopefully let my people know when I need to potty. I do really well in my foster family's fenced yard and go straight out once she opens the door and come back in easily as well. I like to sniff around the yard and enjoy the sunshine. I will walk whilst tethered to one of those leash things, but I startle very easily and tend to run away if something frightens me, so a fenced yard would be perfect for me. I am also afraid of loud noises, overwhelming commotion, and new things in general, so I’m not really sure how I would do with those little people, other dogs, or those purring things. My foster mom says that I’m a pretty girl and I must admit that I completely agree with her…she’s very smart!  I am also a fast learner who is becoming more curious and interested in my surroundings every day.  I have an enormous amount of unconditional love to share and would love nothing more than to find a furever home with someone who will love me unconditionally and keep me safe…I want so much to be safe and loved because I know that will help me blossom into the confident girl I was destined to be. I might be a little bit of a project because I am so timid but it will make every new milestone all the more exciting. If you are the person who would like to help me become more confident, I would really like to meet you.  Please come take me to my new furever home, I’ll be here waiting for you!   Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:   Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.   ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.   FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.   NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.   YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? DOB: 06/16/2016 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Unknown Okay with children under 12 years old: Older, respectful kids Requires a fenced yard:     Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hi, I’m Tibet! I’m a 3 year old Ori Pei, which is a mix between a Chinese Shar Pei and Pug! I am only about 28lbs. I have a few new favorite hobbies since moving in to my foster home: Treats! Oh, boy do I enjoy treats! And there are so many different kinds! Watching TV is pretty fun too... my foster mom thinks i’m hilarious because I actually do watch tv. And then there’s napping in these super soft dog beds. I guess you could say home life is pretty great! I get along well with my foster siblings and would need a dog in my forever home to continue to show me the ropes. I haven’t met any cats but, I don’t think I would mind them. I am a very good boy in my crate and getting better at potty training every day! I am still a little hesitant of people but my confidence has grown tremendously since coming into rescue. I would love a forever family to continue to show me what this good life is all about! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. I'm new here!  My name is Opal and I am just a sweet girl. I weigh 27# and am a perfect mix between Pug and Shar Pei.  I am kennel trained and doing well with potty training. I am a bit nervous on leash, so a fenced in yard is required.  I love other dogs and am really learning from them, so I would need another dog in my forever home. Loud noises are a bit scary for me, so a home with older, respectful kids is required.  I would love a forever home who can help me continue to come out of my shell. I am a bit of a shy girl right now, but I know in time you will see my happy, silly personality!
