Dog is a 14yr old Jack Russell Terrier and the true definition of a grumpy old man. This boy makes the perfect lazy lap dog, but will never turn down the chance to go for a walk. Dog would be happiest in a house of adults only and maybe another smaller dog, however would prefer to be the center of attention! Dog’s current owner is elderly and due to illness now unable to take care of him. Sadly the family had to make the decision to re-home Dog to give him the best chance possible to live out his golden years with all the TLC he deserves. If you are looking for the perfect TV buddy on those cold winter nights and walking partner on warm summer days, this sweet puppers is ready to provide!

Lonestar is currently being fostered in HOUSTON, TX. He is available for local or out-of-state adoption to the perfect family! Transport to out-of-state adopter will be coordinated by Red Collar Rescue and is included in the adoption fee. Hello, my name is Lonestar, as my heart is as big as Texas! I was hit by a car and taken to the shelter in critical condition. Red Collar was contacted and rushed to pick me up and take me to the ER. My front leg was broken in several places, I had a large deep gash across the back of my neck which required numerous stitches and a suction drain. The worst wound was on my left flank. The trauma caused a huge area to gangrene, leaving an open wound approximately 7 inches in diameter on my side, with no skin to sew back together, thus requiring daily debridement of dead tissue and laser therapy. I spent numerous days in 24/7 critical care. It is a miracle that I survived! Took me 4 months to heal. I have a few scars from the incident, but medically I am good as new! I am about 1 year old and 17 lbs. I am living in a foster home with several K9 kids of all sizes, and get along with all of them. I am searching for a special forever home! Nikita 🐾 10-year-old sweet shy terrier mix. It took three days for her allow contact. She now cries and whines for attention! ❤️We believe she would really thrive in a foster / adopt with no cats and calm dogs. She was a senior gal surrendered to the Humane Society and left to have to start over.She would love a quiet home to be spoiled. She is very sweet and likes her toys but doesn't like being alone so much.....Can you help Nikita feel loved again🙏

Rocky is two. He hasn't had an easy life he was a victim of abuse in his younger days. He's a little shy because of it but a very sweet little dog. He's very well mannered. He loves to walk, walks well on leash. He likes to play and likes other dogs. He has roommates at the shelter. He has a heart murmur though and cannot be neutered according to the vet. Anesthesia could be an issue for him.
