Story
I am HW+ My rescue will cover treatment IF treatment is done at OUR preferred facility.
Ruby is a senior momma who is looking for a home where she can live out her retirement years.
Ruby is a Rat Terrier and Jack Russell Terrier mix. She’s about 15 pounds and estimated to be between 5-7 years old and fully vetted.
Ruby came to us pregnant and alone, after her previous owner went to prison. On January 2nd she welcomed three adorable puppies and is doing a fantastic job as a new mom. Her puppies are now 8 weeks old and Ruby is spending more and more time away from them to prepare them for life on their own. In just a few more weeks, Ruby will be ready for adoption and wanting to find her furever home.
Ruby is very low maintenance and is the lazy pet owners dream. She has the best parts of being a terrier (smart, quick, alert, funny, loyal) with none of the bad qualities. She’s calm, laid back, rarely barks, doesn’t beg at the table, and takes up very little space. She doesn’t shed much and she knows all the basic commands. Ruby is crate and potty trained. She doesn’t dig in the yard and doesn’t try to jump fences. Ruby gets along fabulously with my 65 lb Golden Retriever, and loves my three young children, including the 11 month old.
Ruby’s perfect home would involved a lot of laying around. She likes to be lazy, watch tv, and snuggle. She will spend all day in your lap if you let her. Ruby deserves to find a permanent home where she can finally relax and know what is to be loved unconditionally.
Note: The above bio on the dog reflects the behavior we have observed in the dog's foster home. We provide adopters current information on our dogs; we cannot guarantee they will behave in the same manner in a different environment with new owners. Since they are rescue dogs we guess breed of looks.
Our adoption fees vary, according to species, size, age and other issues. Discounts apply in some cases. Our adoption fee covers dewormed, heartworm tested (if over 6 months), started on heartworm preventative, flea/tick preventative, vaccinated for bordetella, dhppv, rabies (if age appropriate) and microchipped as well as spay/neuter at our preapproved vets. All puppies not altered due to age will under a foster to adopt contract until completed and an additional deposit of $100 will be required- deposit will be refunded upon completion of surgery.
We expect our dogs to be adopted by families who understand- these are rescue dogs, they will need time to decompress, routine and stability. We put our lives into saving these dogs- we expect their new families to be prepared for a lifetime commitment before applying- dogs are not recyclable.
Please do not send an email inquiring about a dog. Please fill out the adoption application found at https://www.rangersreach.org/ We are 100% volunteer ran we try as hard as we can to get through applications as fast as possible. If we spend all our time answering inquires and emails, we have no time to look over applications. Please do not apply until you are ready to bring a new furry family member home. We do not hold dogs for any reason. We do try to be fair and go in the order applications are received. If no response, decision or adoption is made we must move on to the next application. Applying for a dog does not guarantee that you will receive that dog.
WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE HAVE NO BRICK AND MORTAR LOCATION-- WE ARE AN ALL-VOLUNTEER RESCUE, ALL DOGS ARE IN PRIVATE FOSTER HOMES.
If we if we think your home might be a good fit, we will contact you once we have reviewed your completed application. We do check references, use social media, been verified, do phone interview/emails, and home check will be completed before meeting an adoptable dog.
