You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.To speed up the adoption process, please complete our Pre-Adoption Application.Meet Birch! Birch was found wandering the reservation on his own! He is a smart boy that found shelter in an abandonded home and was found hiding behind the door! He is getting used to having a good diet and getting is skin and coat looking amazing! You have to meet this sweet boy!Prior to adoption, they will be altered, vaccinated, health checked and microchipped. Adoption Fee $450.00+taxes/fees Happy Tails Adoption Center is open on Sundays from 12-5. We are located at 7940 University Ave NE, Fridley. Dogs are at events based on the availability of their foster family. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.The breeds of our dogs and cats are a 'best guess.' We often do not know what mix they are and have to base it on what we think they look like, and base it on breeds often found in the area they came from. Most of our dogs who have gotten DNA tests done are 4-10 breeds mixed together. Because their breed mix is a guess we cannot guarantee a 'full grown size' of many of our younger animals.Interested in adopting me? Click here to fill out an application!Happy Tails Rescue Minnesota is located at 7940 University Ave NE, Fridley MN 55432. We are open for adoption events from 12-5 every Sunday. If there is a certain animal you want to meet at one the events please fill out a preadoption application to directly contact their foster family or check our Facebook page to see if they will be there! Their event attendance is based on the availability of their foster family. Home visits (video tours or in person) are required for all dog adoptions. All of our cats and dogs are INDOOR pets and are NOT to be left outside unattended (even in a fenced yard), or running loose!

Story
Sara is the sweetest little hound dog as she is the runt of the litter and constantly has her little nose to the ground. It’s safe to say Sara loves learning tricks for treats, playing with squeaky toys, cuddling and pets, going on walks with her big girl harness and sleeping by the fire on a big pillow every night. Within the first two days of being with us Sara learned “sit” and is very food and praise motivated. She is one smart pup! She does well with bath time, and is potty trained! Sara does best not kenneled and free to roam. She is an active dog and enjoys daily walks to keep that nose of hers busy. She does great with other dogs as she currently has a large black lab foster sister. And she also really enjoy the freedom of a fenced yard to roam. Sara is estimated to be one year old and 24 lbs. Since we don't know at all what doggy genes are in the dogs make up (we don't know who mom and dad are!), we are just guessing on breed. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. They have all had a vet exam, are up to date on vaccinations, have been given a dewormer, are treated for fleas, have a heartworm test if over 6 months old and are up to date on a heartworm preventative. Please note that because we require a home visit at the time of adoption we can only place animals in homes within a 60 mile radius of Minneapolis.If you are interested in meeting this dog please fill out the pre-adoption application on our website at http://www.safehandsrescue.org under Adopt and we will get back to you to arrange a meeting in the foster home.
