Story
Hi I am Nene! I am an adult doggy (estimated year of birth ~2012), approximately 40 pounds. I am shy with humans, but I am a very sweet doggy once I get to know you. I have been going to a training center to improve my socialization skills with humans. I enjoy going out on walks and chewing on bones. I live outdoors, housetraining will be necessary if you want me to become indoor/outdoor. I need a home with a secure yard. A home with no kids would be better as I have never lived with them

Story
This is Bow she is a 4 year old Rhodesian Ridgeback who’s owner has recently passed away. She is very affectionate and sweet natured, she truly wishes she was a lap dog. I believe she would do best as a single dog or with other larger dogs. Bow is potty trained to go outside in a backyard or while out walking, is up to date with all shots, recently had a vet checkup, and has no chronic diseases. I am the daughter of the recently deceased and would love to keep Bow, but cannot. I have three small senior dogs already that have chronic diseases that require shots and daily treatment. This is why I am seeking a forever home for Bow. I believe she would be best placed with someone likes to be active outdoors and can spend enough time with her daily.

Story
This is Oliver! 9-year old Oliver was surrendered by his family to the OC Shelter. With the help of some quick volunteers, we exited Oliver from the shelter on the day he was scheduled to be euthanized. I don't get too frustrated anymore when a dog is surrendered in poor condition like Oliver. It's all too common... Oliver had a giant mass on his belly and a bloody dangler on his lip. He had two ruptured CCLs and he could hardly put weight on his back legs. We did surgery to remove his masses and performed a bilateral TPLO to help with his painful, inefficient back legs. This surgery is not cheap and not one we often pursue on our Frosted Faces, but Oliver is one of our younger seniors who will thrive with the gift of mobility and comfort for many years, we hope! Oliver loves the company of humans. he brightens up and wanders behind you, as loyal as your own shadow. His big eyes fill with hope that you will lounge with him of the fluffiest of beds and let his head rest in your lap.  Oliver got to go on a 2-week Frosted Fling and we got to learn some great things about how he acts in a home! Oliver is not a picky eater. He loves to eat everything, but might have a sensitive stomach - he got a little gassy with certain types of foods so it might take some experimenting to find out what works well. Don't worry, your nose will let you know! Oliver seems to be house broken and did a good job doing his business outside once he learned his Fling family's schedule. Good boy, Oliver! Oliver seemed to do well with other dogs that he met on walks, but can get a little bit excited about meeting new friends at first. After some time to calm down, he played well with other dogs. Oliver is a meandering walker - where do you need to go so fast anyway? He is a quiet boy, and loves cuddles, but don't let that fool you. He loves to play! Oliver gets short spurts of energy after mealtimes where he will romp around, fetch stuffies, and chew on balls. His Fling family says, "Oliver is a fantastic dog. He is such a chill and quiet guy. If you're home, he's going to want to be in the same room as you. If you're not home, that's ok too! He's happy to nap, snack, or stare out the window while you're gone. We were really impressed with how amazing Olli was with us when we were eating. We like to eat at the coffee table near his bed, and he never once begged. He would lift his nose and sniff with curiosity, but he would never ever approach to beg. One of our favorite things about Oliver is that he is such a cuddle bug, and that he loved being tucked in for bed. We would cuddle to watch TV before bed each evening, and then I'd tuck him into a burrito before slipping into my bed. Sometimes, he'd be in the exact same spot we had tucked him in from the night before. On other mornings, if we left the bedroom before him, he'd come walking out looking for us while dragging the blanket along still on his back." Oliver lives in a foster home. Please submit an application to schedule an appointment to meet him!   Visit us at Open House: Saturdays & Sundays, 10 am - 1 pm. Story
We got Ginger for our 15 year old autistic daughter as a comfort pet. Ginger is fine but not a cuddly breed or temperament. She has been a sweet well behaved part of our family with no behavioral issues. She plays well with out 4 year yellow lab. She is about 2 years old and has not slowed down much yet. She sleeps inside and enjoys our enclosed back yard. She is house trained and will walk on a leash. We will miss her but we just got a Golden Retriever puppy that is more suitable for our daughter. All shots and license are current. She is chipped.

Story
Marvin is a 1 yr old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix. He is quirky, playful, knows sit, & is working on down and stay. He needs more leash training than we can provide (pulls, growls, barks, lunges at people & dogs). He nips/paws to get attention, has shown some food aggression (bit hand when trying to take bully stick away) and separation anxiety (this has gotten better with leaving routine of Kong with treat and turning on music). Marvin is afraid of getting in car, but once he is in he does okay (we put treats on seat & give him a running start so he jumps in). He is also afraid of the shower. We have tried to be a good home for Marvin, but unfortunately we do not have the time, resources, space, and training expertise he needs to be happy. We think he would do great in a home with a yard and other dogs that can show him how to behave and play appropriately! We adopted Marvin from a shelter in AZ, and we are already his 3rd home. He needs a forever home! :)
