Due to COVID-19, the unknown surrounding it and, the request that we ALL nationally stay home – OLBH is suspending all adoptions, new fosters and any non-essential visitors to the rescue until which time it is deemed safe to resume normal practice.   Sadie is a five year old Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, very loving, an alpha female so would do best as an only dog, unknown on cats but, would guess no. Great with people of all ages, has not been around toddlers or infants. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Story
Meet Keaton! He is a 5-6 year old mastiff mix looking for his forever home. Keaton is a big teddy bear, weighing in at 95 lbs, who loves to snuggle and thinks he is a lap dog. Keaton is dog reactive and prefers to be the only pet. He was found during the polar vortex in January 2019 by a good Samaritan, emaciated and in rough shape. She took him to safety and Hope Marie stepped in to provide the medical care, including eye surgery, to get him healthy and ready for his forever home. We don’t think he has lived indoors much of his life and has separation anxiety when left alone. We are working on this with him as well as some other manners so he can be the best boy possible. Keaton would do best in a home that will be patient and will continue his training. While Keaton does very well with children, he is not aware of his size so a home without small children would be best for him.   Thank you for your interest in adopting from HMF.  All of our pets are spayed/neutered, current on vaccinations, microchipped and otherwise healthy, unless noted in the description.  Our adoption area is within 50 miles of Franklin/Bargersville, IN.
