Story
Ella is a cuddly, 6 year old Black Mouth Cur  with lots of energy.  When on a walk, she loves to say hello to those she meets along the way, but she is somewhat intimidated by larger dogs.  Ella has separation anxiety and, when placed in a kennel, she barks and tries to break out.  Because Ella doesn’t understand how big she is, she will do best with only older children that she can’t topple when trying to play with them.  Ella loves to run so her perfect home will have a large, fenced yard.  There should be no young children, and preferably no other pets.  She needs a home with someone who can give her plenty of affection and who won’t mind when Ella tries to be a lap dog.  Ella is house trained. Please Note:  A Courtesy Post designates that a dog is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster home.  This means that our exposure to the dog is limited since we are only assisting the owner in finding a new home for their pet.  If needed, we will put you in touch with the owner if you have questions. The suggested adoption donation for Ella is $350, which is TAX DEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals in the home, as well as the high cost of vetting our animals in rescue.  If you would like to welcome Ella into your home, please begin by submitting our adoption application.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.
