Story
My name is Rikki, I'm a momma to many pups that Dolly's Legacy is also rescuing, and many who did not make it here with me as I have had more litters than I care to admit over my lifetime. I am so thankful for them for taking us in and giving us a roof over our heads, as I've really only known life outside in the cold and the heat with nowhere soft to rest my head. I am looking for somewhere warm and full of love to spend the final years of my life. I am an older girl (12 years old), I'm gentle with other dogs, and I love children who want to snuggle with me. Please let me join your family, and I will give you all the love you didn't know you were missing. Rikki is a female Black Mouth Cur, weighs 55 lbs and was born approximately 2-17-08. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed. Rikki had life-saving treatment for heartworm disease. She will need to remain on heartworm preventative for life, as is recommended for ALL dogs, and retested in 6 months to ensure she is heartworm free. Adoption fee is $250 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

Story
Hi everyone! My name is Bella Boo. I am a really nice girl, my foster mom tells me that a lot! When I first got to my foster moms I sort of was naughty with one of the cats cuz I thought they’d play with me but I got a little too rough so she separated us for a bit and now when I start to go and bug one of the cats my foster mom tells me no and I am good at listening to her so I stop. I’m a single mom but all my babies are currently up for adoption too and staying with another foster mom so I’m getting some big time attention for just me and my other foster sisters and brothers. It’s pretty great! I’ll tell you a little bit about me if you want to know more. I really love people and I love my other foster dogs I’m staying with. I can tell you what my foster mom tells me a lot. She says, “Bella, you are SO beautiful and SO smart and SO silly!” She says I have some really pretty eyes; it makes me feel really good when she tells me nice things so I feel a lot better about myself when I hear the good stuff about myself. She tells me I shouldn’t jump up and I try really hard not to but I just really love having a person give me love and attention that I sometimes get too excited but my foster mom says I’m getting better and is patiently working with me on that. I am good in a kennel and like having my own pad to go to and so far I haven’t had any accidents in the house but I like to go out when the other dogs do so I do that often through the day. I just hope someone will see how really awesome I am, like my foster mom tells me I am, cuz I’ll be the bestest companion if you teach me what you want me to do and how to be part of your family and home! Please give me that chance at a furever home, I’ll try my hardest to make you happy! Bella Boo is a Catahoula Leopard Dog/mix, weighs 47 pounds and was born approximately 12/24/2018. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested negative for heartworm disease & given a Proheart injection for six months of heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $350 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.

Story
Trail is a six-year-old Vizsla mix. Yes, it’s true. We have about 60 pounds of Trail mix looking for a home or a foster! He's neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, crate-trained, and knows his basic commands. Trail has been through training and needs a consistent routine which includes daily exercise and reinforcement of his training.  His foster or adoptive home should not have children who live in the home, but other pets would be okay, as long as none are birds! Trail is cautious of new things and can be overly affectionate to the point of being pushy. The goal of his training is to provide structure and boundaries that Trail will follow and this will also help build his confidence in himself and his handler. If you're looking for a handsome dog with a lot of personality AND are willing to continue to reinforce his training, Trail could be the one. This sweet boy is just waiting for his person who will love him and take him on walks. Is it you? If you'd like to meet Trail, please contact info@nebraskanokill.org.  Suggested adoption donation: $150.00
