An 80-pound, 7-year-old Black Mouth Cur/Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, Xena came into rescue from Texas with her 8 puppies. Her pups have gone to their forever homes and Xena is more than ready for her happy ever after! She was such a good mom to her puppies and is truly a sweet and loving girl. She is very friendly and enjoys the company of people and other dogs. She doesn't care to share her toys and her bones, so we suggest a home with older children. Xena has a lot of energy, needs attention and exercise and would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard with room to run. She is spayed and up to date on vaccines. It’s time for this princess to experience the good life and we can’t wait to find the special someone who will love and pamper her forever! Our boy Solomon is looking for his most perfect forever home. He doesn't come without flaw, but he does come with a loyalty to his humans that doesn't waver. He is about 5 years old and probably 70 pounds. He is a Heinz 57 mix breed, the listed breeds are our best guess. He is Long, TALL, and lanky. Solomon LOVES to play fetch and brings the ball back every time for you to toss it again. He has plenty of energy to keep up with someone who likes to run and hike, but will also settle right down. His new home will need to have a fenced in yard for him to frolic and play in. Solomon is house and crate trained. He will need to be in an only dog adult home. Solomon listens well, but will need a stern handler not afraid to make him listen. He knows basic commands. And is very eager to please his humans. He is super smart and would excel with advanced training. He is currently being fostered in East Tennessee, but is available to be transported to the Northeast. This beauty is called Beautiful Brownie affectionately by her rescue foster. She is beautiful inside and out. At the age of 9-10 years old she weighs 38 pounds and is a Catahoula mix girl who exudes a calm spirit of love and desire to be your everything in life. She has beautiful bi-colored eyes with a little white spot on her right eye and she is ready to give you a smile at the drop of a hat when you speak to affectionately to her. Brownie is easy on a leash, housebroken, gentle and kind. She would make a great companion for a someone like a retired couple or single person who wants to be a beloved person in a dog’s life. Brownie was saved from a place in Alabama where they were going to shoot her for killing a few chickens that were roaming free; a common thing in the dog world to chase those feathery little things. She is getting a dental and full vetting and heartworm treatment. This girl would have died for sure had she stayed with this family who did nothing for her except food and water. Please consider making Brownie's senior years her best ones yet. PLEASE NOTE: Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.
