Our boy Solomon is looking for his most perfect forever home. He doesn't come without flaw, but he does come with a loyalty to his humans that doesn't waver. He is about 5 years old and probably 70 pounds. He is a Heinz 57 mix breed, the listed breeds are our best guess. He is Long, TALL, and lanky. Solomon LOVES to play fetch and brings the ball back every time for you to toss it again. He has plenty of energy to keep up with someone who likes to run and hike, but will also settle right down. His new home will need to have a fenced in yard for him to frolic and play in. Solomon is house and crate trained. He will need to be in an only dog adult home. Solomon listens well, but will need a stern handler not afraid to make him listen. He knows basic commands. And is very eager to please his humans. He is super smart and would excel with advanced training. He is currently being fostered in East Tennessee, but is available to be transported to the Northeast. Roxy has a sad story, she arrived to the shelter in 2017, after being found wandering the streets. She was nervous upon arrival, uncertain with her new environment. After being at the shelter for some time, she found, what we thought, was her forever home. After being in the home for 4 years, Roxy's adopter found himself homeless and she was returned to the shelter. She needs a home that will allow her to decompress after being in and out of the shelter system. Roxy deserves an adult home, low-traffic, where she gets to be who she really is. She's good on leash, accepts rewards happily and enjoys to be pet. She needs a home where she can experience the world with her trusting family; providing support and positive reinforcement. Roxy is 9yrs old, she is still playful and full of spunk; she is friendly with people she knows and has been friendly with strangers since being back at the shelter but was reported to be protective in the home and guard things. Mia was my Aunts companion for her whole life (8years). My aunt just died and there is no one to take care of the dog. I live in Virginia and my wife has asthma. Mia has been with many walkers and has been known to pull. When I had her lease she was well behaved (maybe she hears a male voice better?) On rare occasion she appears to be aggressive towards some dogs. Mia comes fully equipped with a new bed, winter sweater, lease, 2 full bags of her favorite dog food + probiotics. Mia will be stubborn sometimes- she does not like to go out in the rain. New owner needs to be strong enough to handle a 96# dog. Mia is completely up to date on all shots & NYC Licence.
