I'm Walnut, the super pooch! My life was an adventure before I landed here. I was just a curious pup exploring the world with my sidekick Cashew. One day, I spotted a dog pestering a neighborhood. I'm not a fan of big dogs, but I knew I had to step up. Using my superpower - the irresistible 'Puppy Eyes', I distracted him long enough for the Animal Control to swoop in. My bravery led me here, where I'm now known as the 'Mellow Hero' (outside the kennel). I may not wear a cape, but I've got a heart full of love and a never-ending appetite for treats. I am a sweet boy who loves treats and food which will be my biggest motivation. I am still learning the ropes, so I need someone patient to train me. I used to roam freely, what these humans call a stray, but now I am looking for a place to call home. I do get a bit spooked sometimes, but with a patient, loving family, I know I will feel safe. Why should you adopt me? I am not just a pet, I am a companions, and I can't wait to start my journey with you.

Story
   Hi, my name is Otis.  I was brought to the shelter by our local animal control after it was established I wasn't being properly cared for.  I was initially untrusting of visitors but have really turned the corner thanks to the help from shelter staff.  I love spending time in the play yard basking in the sun and relaxing with my favorite ball.  I love going on walks to a nearby ballfield and am told I am a very good leash walker and car rider.  When greeted by people I turn into mush.as I show them my ball.  Because of where I came from I will do best in a home with no children.  I wasn't treated nicely by them in the past.  I hope you will consider coming to meet me.  Woof! Otis
