Hi! I`m Daisa. I am about 7 years old and 83lbs. I am a staff and volunteer favorite here at the shelter. I am such a sweet girl who walks nicely on leash. I love to play with toys and am very ball driven. I love treats and will take them very gently! I came to the shelter as an owner surrender. I did not do well with female dogs in my previous home but did do well with the males. It is unknown how I would do with kids or cats. The shelter does offer the cuddle before you commit program. Come meet me! **Please apply on our website at www.indy.gov/activity/adopt-a-pet. Go to the website, click on the adoption application link, enter the information and hit submit. Once you have submitted your application please visit the shelter to speak with a member of our adoption staff.  Unless otherwise stated, the adoption fee for dogs over 5 months starts at $120.00. Puppies under 5 months are $175.00. Cats over 1 year are $35.00, kittens under 1 year old are $60.00. Dog adoption fees include a microchip. Cats can be microchipped by request for an additional $10.00. The adoption fee includes the animal's surgery, vaccinations, flea preventative, deworming medication, sample bag of food/treat samples and a free first exam with participating veterinarians. Shelter policy and 2018 Indiana state law decrees all animals must be spayed or neutered prior to leaving the shelter. Our shelter is open to the public on Monday- Saturday from 8:00 am -5:00 pm EST with the exception of Wednesdays on which we typically open by 1:00 pm. If you would like to make an appointment to meet one of our many adoptable animals, please send an email to us at pvchs@joink.com. To apply to adopt, you may download an adoption application from the Applications and Fees tab on our website. The web address is www.pvchs.cfsites.org. Story
Zoey is a gentle girl who enjoys the great outdoors. She wiggles and hops when it's her turn to go for a walk! She can be nervous when meeting new people, but has begun to get more comfortable here at the shelter. She loves treats and will take them gently from your hand. She has gotten along with our more rambunctious dogs here at the shelter and loves a good rough and tumble. She was very easy to introduce to our meaty guys here but does like control of the situation. She will wrestle and roll around with the dogs but always come check in with you for a little bit of a snuggle before returning to play.
