Saphire is a pretty, Rottweiler-mix girl, weighing in at 60 lbs. She gets along well with other dogs but is not a fan of cats, so it is recommended she be placed in a home free of small, furry felines. Fully vaccinated, spayed and micro-chipped, she's ready to be back in a home with her very own people. Our goal is to have all animals spayed/neutered, vaccinated (to include rabies), and micro-chipped at time of adoption. Pre-adoption prior to complete vetting possible with deposit. Out-of-state adoptions available with additional transport fee to certain states, mainly northeast but some along the way and some Midwest states as well. Puppies 6 months and younger are not at the shelter and can be met by appointment. Over 4 yrs, fees are $65 with an additional grant from Nestle Purina for $40 which makes it $25 and includes an adoption kit worth $75.

Meet Bullet! He is a 3 yr old neutered male Rottweiler mix that weighs 71 lbs. He came into the Mesquite Animal Shelter on 4/29 as a stray. Tho microchipped, his family has not come back to reclaim him. So this sweet hearted guy finds himself up for adoption. He has such a great smile that you just can't help to smile right back at him. He has told me how much he wants to have his own loving family that has a secured backyard to play in, but most importantly live indoors being pampered and loved on as he so deserves. He walks well on a leash, takes treats gently. and enjoys being petted. We walked past dogs that were barking at him, he showed no regard to them. If you have another pup in the family, please be sure to ask the shelter for a dog test. If you come meet Bullet you will not be disappointed! He would make a great family companion.

Tex is a very sweet dobi. He is 3 years old and has always been an inside dog. He loves being eith people he sleeps at the foot of our bed and follows md to whatever room i go. He likes to bark but if you want hjm to stop all yoj have to do is pick up a squirt bottle of water and he will stop. He can sit shake stayand loves walks. It is breaking our hearts to have to rehome him bit w ed arr having to movd tk take card of an elderly relative and dogs arent allowed. He is a great watch dog because he looks and sounds like a Dobi buf he wouldnt hurt a flea. He is really a big baby who needs to be loved. He has always had a dog friend to play with but he was introduced to them when they were puppies ( he loves to nurture them) not sure how he would act meetinv an adul th dog but im sure hd would get along with most animals. I hope you finf it in your heart to give Tex a new home!
