If you have allergies, this is not the kitty for as since we are guessing on the breed. Meet beautiful Anna who was born 8-13-18. She is a gorgeous girl with incredible gold eyes. She is a friendly, sweet kitty who you will love when you meet her. She is a purrr machine because she is always happy. She loves belly rubs and rolls over for more. She was bullied in her previous foster home by the other cats. We don't want to see that happen again so we feel it's best if she goes into a home with no other kitties. She is awesome with cat friendly dogs. She is such sweetheart who loves her people and loves to cuddle. She has not been around small children so we feel a home with children 10+ would be best. Anna is being fostered in in a home in Naperville, which is where you would go to meet her with an approved adoption application. Anna has a chronic URI, which means her eyes are always watering. We have tried many meds and natural products and nothing seems to work. It could be the herpes virus but we unsure as as no other felines in her previous or current foster home has gotten sick. This does not affect her eating, kitty box habits or loving personality. Meet and greet will be scheduled after an adoption application is submitted which can be completed on line at www.angelsonwheels.org. Submitting an application does not commit you to any animal, but is required prior to making arrangements for a meet and greet as all of our animals are cared for in homes. We can't schedule meet and greets until the application is submitted and approved. We don't have a building so there are no viewing hours. All of our animals are cared for in foster homes by wonderful families who volunteer their time to save these precious souls. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Maisie is a gorgeous short hairied, blue kitty with such a fun personality. She is extremely vocal and will talk (and squeak) until you give her the attention she wants. She loves to be pet and will beg for it. Maisie must be in a home with no other animals, no children, and an experienced cat person. She is known to bite and has been returned for doing so a few times. Maisie is just misunderstood. She needs a ton of play time, as at only 2 years old, she is super high energy. She also would benefit from some cat puzzles to keep her engaged.  She has not biten in her current foster home, and her foster mom strongly believes that with the right amount of activity, the chances of her biting hard is much less. When playing, she does sometimes think hands are toys, so wand toys are a great option. Maisie is not a bad cat, she just needs the right home willing to give her exactly what she needs. Zane is petite and beautiful blue with the cutest white spot. She is about a year old. She is super sweet but also extremely shy. She is looking for a patient, experienced family to give her a chance to blossom. As of now, she startles easy and will need time to get comfortable and come out of her shell. Because of this, we think she should not be in a home with young children. Once she feels safe, she will lean into pets, and beg for more. She can be bribed with canned food and treats. Zane does well with other cats and would probably be best in a home with a social cat willing to help show her the way. She really just needs someone willing to take time to work with her a little everyday. Her foster mom knows she will blossom eventually. She would be thrilled to have some nice cat condos she can hide out in when she feels the need to hide. Hi, I’m Sterling Silver. I’m a super sweet and large guy. I love everyone I meet and am super laidback. I was found as a stray wandering the streets and rescued from Elkhart County Animal Control. I am FIV positive. I get along wonderfully with other cats, dogs, and older kids. I do play rough at times and love to play with anything and everything. I enjoy having my chin scratched and lots of attention. Come meet me today and fall in love!  Now, there is one more thing you should know. Sterling Silver has tested positive for FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus), but this will not prevent him from living a long, happy life. The disease can only affect felines and is rarely spread to altered, friendly FIV-negative cats. It cannot be spread by sharing litter boxes, food dishes, playing or grooming. Transmission is only possible through deep puncture wounds (think non-neutered male cats fighting over territories) - but Sterling Silver is a lover not a fighter, and is not the type to get into these types of serious scuffles with another friendly housemate. Additionally, he does not require any medicine for his condition, but since his immune system is a bit more suppressed than normal, he has the potential to get sick easier. For indoor cats, this is generally a non-issue as he will not be exposed to diseases and viruses in the safety of his home. Don't be scared by the myths people (and even some veterinarians!) spread about FIV. Take your time and do the research, and make your own decision about whether adopting an FIV cat is right for you if you have other felines at home.
