Russian Blue kittens & cats in Ennis, Texas

Skeeter came to OHAR as a kitten in 2021 and was quickly adopted. Fast forward to 2023 and Skeeter's family says they can no longer care for her so back to OHAR Skeeter went. Skeeter is a Blue Russian mix, that takes a little more time to warm up to strange people and strange places. She took time to adjust to life back in a shelter and would really prefer to be in a real home. However, her new family will need to be patient with her and understand that cats may be curious, but they also like their routine and familiarity. With time, Skeeter will come out of her shell and make little chirping noises when asking for affection. Could you be the person that gives Skeeter the chance she deserves?

Gino is around 6-8 years old Russian Blue full breed or mix. He was living outside on the streets for the past few years. Fortunately for him, he decided to move to one of our rescuers flowerbeds. Over time, she realized he used to belong to someone and that he was the sweetest boy she'd ever met. He wanted inside and wanted love, desperately. Gino just wants a safe, loving, quiet place to call home. He will do best in a calm environment where he gets plenty of attention. He loves being petted, watching the day go by out the window, and laying on his blanket and just hanging out with you. He is calm and no trouble what so ever. He loves being brushed and scratched. He is not destructive and has great litter bix manners. He's been around other cats and does ok as long as they are nice to him and calm. He'd do best in a environment without too much chaos. He's sweet and will acclimate; he just needs some kindness and love. He is good with calm kids. He's very chill and really just wants to hang out with you and relax.  He's chipped, neutered, and up to date on vaccines. He does have a special diet and will require up to date vet care due to some old man kidney issues, which is very manageable. Meet Kevin Malone! His original owner passed away, his owner's brother then took him in, and then the brother passed away. His owner's sister surrendered him. Poor guy doesn't know if he'll ever find his forever person. Kevin is very sweet and cuddly, but he's also very shy right now. He gravitates to his foster dad since he's spent most of his life with men. He does ok with his foster dog and cat siblings, he ignores them. He's mainly just seeking love, patience and security. When he feels safe, he comes out of his shell and wants love and cuddles. He's a healthy boy and will blossom in a home where he can finally settle and have dedicated attention. Kitty loves catnip and treats, who doesn't! She has a favorite blanket she always sleeps on, though she sleeps with her foster mom in bed at night under her arm. She is very sweet and wants to be around her people. She follows you around now to see what your doing. She's independent but loves to snuggle and loves to play with her person or her favorite mouse toy. She's 8.9 lbs of sass! She is not destructive or hyper. Kitty needs to be an only pet. She does fine with gentle kids, as she loves people! She was found by her foster moms neighbor when he noticed her on his cameras, she was sleeping in his flower beds. She was also trying to get food from the neighbors trash. She started watching her foster mom in the window. They set a trap to cathc her and when they let her out of trap, she immediately jumped in her lap and started loving all over her. Poor girl was starving, scared, cold and alone out there. She had a non active chip and no owner could be located. She was wither abandoned or lost. She is so happy to be inside and safe. Cooper is a stunning Blue Point British Shorthair mix, about 2 years old. His personality is as big as his size, and he is a BIG boy. He tolerates other cats as long as he can be the alpha. He really would prefer to be the only cat. He is a great boy with a really outgoing personality. His coat is thick and plush, his eyes are blue as the sky. Ragdolls and Maine Coons are physically slow to mature, benefit greatly from the social interactions with another cat and often long for the companionship. Obviously, some young adults not raised around other cats or with more independent personalities may be exceptions to those rules, but that is up to the discretion of the Rescue to assess that need and is not negotiable.
