I am a pretty, soft, squishy gentle kitty with gorgeous green eyes. I had a family once, and I am not sure why they had to give me up, but I was lucky to be taken in by the nice people at NTCR. I'm quite shy at first, but I love to be held, petted, and brushed. I also come right out for a wet food treat-yum!  I don't like too much noise or activity (I hide) so I would probably do best with adults or teens in the house only, and I'm very afraid of dogs. Another cat who doesn't chase me might be OK. My very favorite thing would be to have a human all to myself for snuggling and hanging out.  I am FIV positive, which sounds scary to some people, but it really isn't. I have had thorough vet checkups and am in great health. Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and can be around most other pets. Skeeter came to OHAR as a kitten in 2021 and was quickly adopted. Fast forward to 2023 and Skeeter's family says they can no longer care for her so back to OHAR Skeeter went. Skeeter is a Blue Russian mix, that takes a little more time to warm up to strange people and strange places. She took time to adjust to life back in a shelter and would really prefer to be in a real home. However, her new family will need to be patient with her and understand that cats may be curious, but they also like their routine and familiarity. With time, Skeeter will come out of her shell and make little chirping noises when asking for affection. Could you be the person that gives Skeeter the chance she deserves?

Hello! I am looking for a loving home for my cat Salem. She is a rescue from a horrible home and is quite skittish. She does AMAZING in homes with one or two people. She is good with older cats but takes time to adjust to them. She’s not been around dogs or kids so I am unsure on how that would go. She gets scared around too much commotion and needs time to grow with you. She has claw caps, is dewormed and has had all her shots including rabies. She is a beautiful blue Russian mix and is long haired. She is not fixed. She has spent a few months with me as an ESA however she is better off with a home that can give her the love and attention that I can’t give due to school and life. She has mats on her fur with the chest and stomach which I was unable to get off due to not wanting to put her through stress. She is shaved on her body (it looks badly shaved I’m not a groomer) where we removed a majority of them. When I got her she was fully matted because previous owners were VERY horrible
