* * As a Malamute/Shepherd mix, Joey is a serious dog: well-mannered and aloof, but really likes people. He is easy to approach and comes for petting. We suggest a home where the children are over 14 years old. He gets along with cats and has lived with other dogs. The best companion would be a dog of the opposite sex. He has had some training. He knows how to sit and shake hands, and the command "no." He responds to praise, treats, and your touch. He is learning to walk nicely on a leash and does the best on an "easy lead." Please familiarize yourself with his breed. This is a strong, independent breed of hunters and travelers. His ideal home must have a fenced yard and room to roam.Come and take Joey for a walk. He is a good boy.
