He is 8 years old and weighs 12 pounds. We believe him to be a Schipperke mix of some sort. Schipperke's are fearless, independent, agile, curious, confident and faithful. These characteristics match Philly's personality. He is a darling dog. It will take him a few minutes to meet you and be your friend. We currently have him in foster care and he is good with the other small female dog in the home, but it took a while for this to happen. He would prefer to be the only dog and likes females better then males. His foster mom reports that he is 100% house trained and lives in a house where he can get outside to do his business. He’s very playful and loves playing with his toys and runs around like a nut in the yard. He loves rubbing his back on the grass. He loves long walks (doesn't react to other dogs) and starts spinning around with excitement when he knows a walk is coming. He rides very well in the car. Philly is crated at night and doesn’t make a peep until he’s taken out in the morning. He immediately comes to sit in our laps if we sit down. He is very cuddly and affectionate once he knows you. He is not good with strangers entering your home. He will need an all adult home. (updated 03/12/20) Philly can be seen by appointment only with an approved application.
