Story
We adopted Vader as a kitten, and he's been a special, sweet, handsome cat. This year, my daughter fell in love with an older calico cat at the shelter and we adopted her. The older calico is extremely aggressive toward Vader. We tried keeping them separated, but during re-introductions the female cat attacked Vader and he ran outside the first chance he got. He has stayed outside all summer and we're worried about letting him stay outside now that it's getting colder. He's not quite three years old and gets along well with the neighbor cat. He doesn't like being picked up, so I don't think he'd do well in a home with toddlers although he's been great with my kids (ages over 8). Never any problems with eating or litter box use. Love chin rubs and playing with toys. I hate to give him up, but it feels cruel to let the other cat terrorize him or to let him live outside in the cold.

Story
Meet Dallas! This precious girl is ready to meet her new family! She found herself at HSCO after her owner could no longer care for her. Dallas used to live with two other cats and got along with them very well. She has always been consistent with her litterbox and enjoys lounging in her bed. Here at the shelter, Dallas has been timid of people. She has recently become more comfortable with staff here. Dallas can be seen lounging in her cat tree behind a blanket. She loves slow, gentle head pets and scratches underneath her paper collar. She will gladly accept a temptation's treat from you! Providing her with a cozy spot that has all of her necessities will help this bashful lady adjust to her new home and family. If you are interested in Dallas, stop by the shelter!
