She may be considered a “Senior” in dog years but Shenandoah is FAR from old.   This lady enjoys her daily walks/hikes, plays ball religiously, will climb your wire fence with ease (6’ WOOD fences only please), and is not shy about letting you know she is going to be the only animal in your life (cats, birds, lizards, dogs, tasty little rodents, etc. are declared an invasive species and she will dispatch them at her earliest convenience) but she LOVES people and is quite affectionate.    She may only have a few years to offer you her love, but those years are the best years she has to offer.   She is not a good candidate for dog parks.   Shenandoah is approximately 10.5 years of age and weighs between 50-60 pounds.   She qualifies for Silver Paws program, matching senior dogs to seniors. Adoption fee is paid by the Paws for Love Foundation. ##113995##

The "Sea Puppies" will be ready for adoption on May 16th when they are 8 weeks old.  While you can't actually take them home till then, it's never too early to submit an application ahead of time.  Just before May 2, we will review all the applications for these puppies and invite applicants to an "event" where they can meet the pups and, if appropriate, fill out the Adoption Contract and pay the fees at that time.  When they are available to be taken home they will be microchipped and vaccinated (1st of 3 DHPP shots and Bordetella..rabies will be given when they are older). ##612006##
