My name is Lucretia--the shimmer girl! I was picked up as a stray in a small rural town, and have been in the shelter since July 2018. I'm not sure why I'm still here. I wish I could sleep in a cozy home with a family-- wouldn't that be wonderful? The folks here say my coat color is absolutely stunning, that it shines so beautifully in the sunlight. They also laugh at my “swollen” Shar Pei snoot. But I think its perfect for kissing and squeezing! Despite being 60+ pounds, I insist on being a lapdog. I'm super goofy and will roll around on my back while I try to maintain unwavering eye contact. Its such a fun game! I also like making silly noises to grab folks attention--it makes people laugh. They say I sound like a cross between a goat and a cow! And while I have no choice but to go to the bathroom in my pen, I'm smart and can learn to be house trained! I know a few basic commands and could use some leash work, but overall, I would make a great companion. I can be picky with dogs and learning to live with a cat might be a challenge...but I'm open to trying if you are! (They recently let me see a cat, and it scratched my nose. After that, I decided I would ignore all the cats in the room!) If adopted, I'll be up to date on all my vaccinations, will be microchipped and "fixed". (Does that mean I was broken?) LOL
