Story
Jasper is a large mixed breed guy who came to the shelter as an owner surrender. His owner became very ill and was no longer able to care for him. We are playing "guess the breed" with him. He is a big boy, weighing 84 pounds, and has features that resemble a few breeds. He does do well with other dogs and is easygoing and happy with them. He is about 5 years old now and arrived at our shelter in June of 2018. He is fully vetted and his fee is $125. Jasper can be a bit reserved upon first meeting, but warms up with time and patience. He would make a lovely and loyal companion. He can be very protective of the people that he trusts. We think he would do best in an experienced, adult only home. He loves to play and is very proud of his toys. Please Note:  Jasper's adoption fee is sponsored, meaning it will be paid when he is adopted to an approved applicant. We are open on Saturdays from 10-11:30, Tuesdays from 4:30-6, and Sundays from 2-4. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport, behind Spectrum. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
